This may be a ridiculous question, but I'm still fairly new at this. One of my daily vape flavors causes the coil to gunk up pretty quickly and taste burnt. I do swap out coils frequently and it happens whether it's a new coil or one I've soaked and cleaned. I've read that some liquids just do that. Is there a better option of clearo, tank or otherwise? I'm using mainly a mini protank with this flavor, have tried regular protank 2, and evods. I'm using an ego battery and have also tried it on my ego twist at lower settings. My coil is a 2.2 This is the only flavor I get this with.

Thanks for you help!

Chances are changing from a bottom coil to a top coil wont make a difference with the same juice. The top coil provides a warmer vape than the bottom coil but still has to wick the juice. If you are using a thicker juice you may want to vape shorter pulls to keep the coil wet. If the coil starves for juice it can tend to burn easier.

As I understand it, ohms are ohms, volts are volts, amps are amps; all independent of coil placement. Everything I've seen/read points to BCCs being better for convenience because they negate the need to tip the device to saturate your top wick, since gravity brings the juice down to the bottom wick.

Regardless, I agree with v1k1ng1001, clean, clean, clean! Even with my cartomizers, I do a 10 minute on, 5 minute off, 20 minute on boiling process to clean my juice gunk out. It works extremely will for me.

I dont think there will be a difference on coil gunking using a top or bottom coil.

Some maybe easier to dry burn than others, ie, top coils you dont have to worry about taking out the flavor wicks to dry burn. But that would be about it in my opinion.

As someone else mentioned, you may want to look into an rba.
