Hi everybody,

I am running a kayfun 3.1 with a sigelei V.3 right now, a co-worker has a ProVari mini and the regular one. I see the feedback and all that, but is it really worth the triple amount of $$$?

Hit me with some feedback and let me know what you think please.

Thanks in advance also from ProVari owners.

I have bought a ton of devices, tanks, and juices. I do drip with mechs from time to time but for me.... the ultimate set up is a Provari with a Kayfun full of Boba's Bounty. It's my rock solid daily set up... just like Marlboro Lights use to be. I'm long past that stage of trying different devices, tanks, and juices. You will love a Provari with a Kayfun. No variable wattage required!

I got a question about the ProVari. Can you safely use 30amp bats in it or should I buy another round of IMRs?

Yep. You can safely use just about any battery in a Provari.... since it has it's own built in protections.

I notice a good number of the most highly opinionated people against the Provari are newer members.....so much wisdom and real world experience in such a short span of time....hmmmmm

I was just thinking the same thing Spike 64. Please note: that $5304 in your tag, along with the 442 days smoke free.... That's what it's all about. If I had to buy one of each mod out there to get those results, then best believe I would (and have). :)

"Too pricey" is a matter of one's perspective...I have a Provari and an MVP2.....love them both....but I cant compare them as close to equal when it comes to quality and how long they will last...

Oh yeah, I also have two eVic's and love them too. Anybody got something to say??? :-x:-x Yeah, that's what I thought.

The $5304 saved is BS.....I'm a mod .........I doubt I've saved a penny  ....but then again, saving money was never my first concern...quitting analogs was, so I think I can say "mission accomplished"...

Will work, but have to use a flat top bat adaptor to work, P only accepts button top batteries. A good option though if you are running P at max output, more useable power with a 30 amp bat. Oh and the 30 amp bats are still IMR bats, just flat top imr's.

K, yeah, ok, umm, sure if 11 watts will vape your boat, they are great, but personally wouldn't ever use something with that modest of an output.

Yeah, tis not money saved, tis money available for vape investments. lmao. Vape Junkies Unite!!! I use the banner to help me justify the purchase of Rose, Max, Futura, Stingray, and and and..... now if the warp core mod would come out.....

Let's see. The ProVari are around $180. You can get a Vamo v5 for $35. So, I can murder off 4 Vamos and still have one working before I get to the cost of the ProVari. Furthermore, the Vamo does variable wattage. The ProVari is just variable voltage. We've seen a ton of variable wattage APVs come out in the last year. ProVari's answer? New color schemes. This year, the DNA20s and DNA30s have been released. Meanwhile, ProVari had released new colors. Technology everywhere else had been marching along nicely - Except with the ProVari.

The flaw in your logic is that the end of the year you have nothing to show for it......except maybe a cigarette in your hand after your Vamo fails you.

The other flaw is in thinking that a Provari needs to have all the latest bells and whistles or to try and "keep pace with technology".

It doesnt.

Its a simple fact of mechanics that the more moving parts something has and the more complicated the design, the more apt it is to fail.

If you want something that just works and works incredibly well, day after day, month after month and year after year, get a Provari .........or even a Reo which is another excellent mod that embraces these same principles.

I bought my Provari used off the classifieds with the buyer saying it was 6 months old at the time of sale.Ive used it all day, every day, without exception for 18 months and counting and its never let me down.

Not even once.

Cant get a better endorsement than that IMO.

** If you have any friends or family who are into construction or use tools on a regular basis in their jobs, start paying attention to what they use. I guarantee you the ones who have been doing it for awhile choose reliable and sturdy over the latest bells and whistles. Thats why Craftsman and Snap-On have such a good reputation.

The Pros probably laugh at the kid with the laser level/stud finder/calorie counter/stopwatch/ attached to his hammer and call him a noob.

and for good reason IMO.

My husband has bought 3 Vamos. All broke fairly quickly. I've had the same reliable Provari. How many more Vamos will he go through? Well none now because he has decided they are garbage, well his words were disposable garbage. One vamo lasted 2 months, the others were 3 1/2 months and 6 months.

You get what you pay for. If you want to have to replace it in maybe 2 months, or maybe you'll be luckier than my husband and get 8 months or longer. But 3 out 3 he bought didn't last over 6 months. I will stick with my Provari any day. It continues to work good as new.

Curious, what's he going to buy now? Maybe he prefers the 3 button set-up? Is there a good replacement out there for it?

He decided after his 3rd vamo he was going mechanical. He has bought several mech mods that he uses now. He's given up on VV. he has a VTR but he rarely uses it. He said he may get a Provari later. But he seems to love mechanicals and dripping. I'm more of a Provari with either a Russian or Kayfun on it.

A Provari will continuosly monitor your battery's voltage and make automatic adjustments as the battery drains. Your last puff will be as good as the first as the battery drains.

Coils don't change their resistance that much as they age to require adjustments in voltage.

The resistance not changing isn't necessarily true. Even though most won't share my experience, my 2.2-2.4 ohm RSST microcoils start creeping up to 2.6, after a month or so, and after two months on the same steel mesh build, I had one creep up to 2.9 ohms. Again, this isn't common to most people though. But they certainly can creep up
