I wouldn't sweat it much, its probably better to wait for some reviews to come in regarding whether or not the visible dark coating on the body threads of the new dark maraxus is actually plating or something else.

If its not actual 'plating' which im assuming (and have read) is conductive, it could have a MAJOR voltage drop issue.
