It will take awhile for me to catch up as I was smoke free for about 4 months earlier this year, smoked for about a month and a half and have been smoke free since I started back vaping (started smoking when I lost my vapor when out of town). When I started back vaping, I started with something better than a starter kit and got hooked on it hard. Haha

Anyhow, on topic, it will take me awhile because I smoked for 12 years but the last 5 of them, I rolled my own at a tune of $26 for almost 3 cartons so I spent less per month smoking than I have been vaping. Of course, that's because I keep buying mods and crap. Hopefully the next purchase for a daily carry can be the last. :-/

Hey Sub4me why such negativity in every post everywhere you go and why you have to resort to name calling any of you? This only shows your ability to act childishly amongst a group of adults trying to uphold each other newbies and veterans alike by sharing our stories, experiences, and knowledge with each other. We aren't here to pass judgement on each other or ridicule each other for terminology or our reasons for vaping. We have enough lobbyists, legislators, and organizations like the FDA and the Big Tobacco companies doing that we don't need would be fellow members of the forum doing it too! I know I truly don't appreciate it especially in a thread that I started. Please be respectful or do me a favor and don't comment in my threads. Thank you.

So some have not smoked however they have inhaled gallons of e liquid containing who knows what, its actually funny, and don't tell me you know what's in your liquid cause you don't.

I believe this poster lives in a very different environment from us. If I remember correctly, they believe that dedicated vape shops are closing instead of expanding and that everyone they knows who vapes is a dual user. My experience shows the opposite. If this user is telling the truth, it is very interesting to see such a different description of the vapor industry then what I see.

Obviously, you do know what is in your juice so don't worry about what someone else says. Good job on 5.5 years! When did you switch to flavorless? I keep thinking I will try it eventually but then I order a whole bunch of new juice that I love:p

I was just sitting here thinking how many analogs have I not smoked since I went to vaping and it about knocked me over! i have been analog free since 9/25/13 that's 415 days and I have avoided exactly 8300 analogs and have saved $3,957.5 in that time, I already deducted the cost of my vape gear from my savings from not buying analogs for the 415 day span and 4300 some odd dollars is a bunch of money. Has anyone else been blown away by your stats and how do some of you post little things at the bottom of your page that keeps track of that for you? Boy if I could go back and recoup the money I spent over 30 years of smoking I'd be a wealthy man but I guess that's the price we pay for trying to be like our favorite movie stars, song artists, and assorted idols. I never considered it really until now and I'm breathless from my smoking for an entirely different reason for once and I don't even smoke anymore. When I started smoking it was 54 cents a pack and now there are some places where they are 20 times more than that today, simply amazing how hind sight truly is 20/20!:?:

Go to "forum actions" close to the top of the page - mine is on a grey bar. Open that and then 'generate sig banner'.

Rough calculation, 2 1/2 years analog free at 20 a day = 18,250 analogs avoided. I paid about $30 a carton so that's $2,700 avoided on analogs. The last two years I've been making my own juice and using rebuildables so say around $1,500 saved.

Thanks for getting me to run the numbers Foggyroomz! I had no idea they were anywhere near this high :thumb:

Supertrunker, thank you does that automatically update or am I going to have to update it daily? I miscalculated my days and how many cigs avoided so now I know the money figure was wrong by a huge margin. $5,322.50 saved to date.

it updates daily, i never messed with mine once i plugged the correct numbers in, and in fact when i struggled with gasping for a cigarette, the thought of resetting it was enough to make me think a little harder!

Well Ryedan I've been on a 30 day medical leave from work was bored out my head so I decided to see if I was truly saving anything over my other habit and was really shocked by my number. I decided to start a thread to see how many others were knocked off their pins the first time they added it all up. I miscalculated things and thanks to Supertrunker telling me how to add a banner that is amended and now I'm even more shocked Lol! So your welcome everyone if this thread actually prompted you to figure it out for the first time, it's pretty amazing when you see those numbers for the first time.

My ticker says it all. Been faithful to vaping. My lungs feel soooooo much better. My breathing has improved. My chest doesn't feel heavy anymore and my inhalers are a thing In the past more less because I only use them once is blue moon now as compared to 2-3 times a day or more.
I just can't believe how much I used to smoke. I know we don't know the long term health on ecigs yet but so far so good. All I know is it feels right and hoping for the best. I was unable to just quit cold turkey. As I've tried many times before.
As for saving money, that's not happening but I didn't make the switch to save money but to breathe without pain and in hopes not to have a stroke.

You can click my banner - or anyone else's - and it'll make you one the same.

There are a few people that will make free ones for you, if you use say a Provari - or a Reo, but they are not hard to do yourself. The code is all there - if you are handy with GIMP or Photoshop it's just changing the image.
