My Vamo v3 and Pure Smoker Legacy came in today, and I have to say they are a lot smaller in person than they are on the pictures i've seen online! Too bad my AW IMR batteries won't be delivered till tomorrow. Guess it wont kill me to wait one more day since my Genesis AGA T-2 and Nimbus will be here tomorrow too.

As long as I can get performance gains going to that from my eGo and Kanger Protank. I will be a happy man!

Also another question, I am going to be aiming for .7ohms on my nimbus. I was going to 3mm silica wick and 28 gauge kanthal. Does that sound about right? If not I have all other sizes of wick and wire coming in the mail, so I can play around with it a bit.

"Small" to me is my stealth vaping setups consisting of Ego 650's and Evods.

The Vamo in Big Boy mode is an absolute beast. Especially when paired with a Kamry X10 BCC.

I am very impressed with the build on "the Legacy." What appears to be gold plating on the connections.

I have a Vamo V2 in stainless that I just acquired, This is a great mod for the price! With 1 18350 it almost disappears in the hand.

Well since I cant use my new stuff till the batteries arrive, I rebuilt my kanger protank with stainless steel mesh and .28 gauge kanthal!

Sub-ohm coils can require special IMR batteries that have a certain maximum current discharge rate in amps. Use the wrong battery and your new mod can go hiss-hiss-boom.

If you're thinking of firing this on the vamo, it won't fire. The vamo can only fire 1.2 ohms and up. Your legacy should be fine though.

I'm not too familiar with the Legacy but it looks like a mech mod so it should fire it just fine.

This is definitely a step up from the ego and the protank. You won't be able to go back .

If you're using IMRs you won't go hiss-hiss-boom, Li-Ons will go hiss-hiss-boom. IMRs are designed to heat and vent.

I have ordered some AW IMR 18650 2000 mah batteries, I know they have a 10 amp draw limit on them. I wanted the AW IMR 18650 1600mah batteries but they were sold out.

The AW 18650 IMR 2000mAh should be fine as long as you stay at 0.8 ohm. Always check your coil's ohms prior to a new vaping session, as little things like brushing the wick/coil when removing/replacing your RBA's cap can change the resistance.

im about to test my stainless steel mesh .28 gauge coil I made on my ohm reader. I hope its above 1.5 so I can use it on my ego since I dont have my batteries yet ><

A friend of mine an extra 18650 IMR battery for me to use till mine come in, so I can at least use my mods today.

Also I fail at making a stainless steel mesh coil for my kanger protank. The first one came out to .4 ohms.... the second came out to 2.2ohms, then 1.5, then .9 so it had a major short. I hope I can do better when my Nimbus and Genesis get here tomorrow.


It has been an hour or so with my vamo and legacy mech. I am so digging this! The flavor is so much better than on my eGo! I am in love
