Got an Ehpro Kayfun on order now. Can't wait for it to get here. The owner of one of my local vape stores let me try hers last week, and I was sold. She doesn't sell any RTA's, but I did buy a Smok Scar dripper while I was there. I am in love with that thing too. I got the feeling my platoon of PT2's and 30s's are going to be getting jealous.

Well maybe not so much the PT2's. Those got awfully good when I learned how to do a proper micro coil...

Just received from fasttech after 25 day wait, my clone russian 91%. I've been using Nimbus drip & the taste & Vapor of the 91% is unbelevable. Hard to beleave the flavor & draw, I definatley recomend.

Got one in the mail now, just shipped the 25th along with some other goodies. Hopefully it will show up by end of next week. I've also been rockin the Nimbus on a FT Nemisis, dual coil .6 ohm build cotton wick, extremely happy with this setup.:vapor:

I have a "real" R91 and two Kayfun clones (unless you want to be a purist and call the R91 a clone of the Kayfun). A lite+ clone and a 3.1ES clone.

Set up properly, flavor is exceptional on all three of them.

The Scar was my first dripper - mostly because it was one of the cheapest available. Drilled out a tad, it's definitely better, but it's still a good little dripper. In retrospect, I think I would have benefited more from starting with a simple single-coil RDA with a larger deck, but I'm still glad I got it.

And as to the PT2's, oh yeah. I have a few packs of untouched factory coils that are gathering dust since I started rebuilding the Kanger heads. Turns the PT2's into a whole different animal.

I want to get a real R91. How would you know if it's the real thing and not a clone? I read somewhere that the R91 is made by Kebo. Is that the real thing? When I searched for the kebo Russian 91% I found out it was made in China. Is the R91 not made in Russia? The kayfun is manufactured in Russia right? I'm truly lost here. Hope someone can help me out. TIA

IIRC the real Russian and Kayfun are designed in Russia and made in Germany.

The Kayfun is, as stated, designed in Russia and manufactured in Germany; the Russian is actually made by Kebo.

I have had some problems with brand new ones. In both cases the fix surprised me. One tank was leaking from the bottom fill screw. Another one had a problem with the post screw not tightening. Much to my surprise a new screw took care of both problems. It appears if the threading is off on the screws these things happen. So if you have an extra parts kit change the screws first before panic mode.

I'm totally on board with you here coal! I have an EH Kayfun, and I love the look of it, but to be honest I get more flavor out of my micro-coiled PT2. I like the Kayfun, but reading all of the reviews I thought I was going to love it and throw out all of my PTs when I got it, but it hasn't turned out that way at all. I still daily drive my PTs and love the flavor and reliability I get out of them!

Yep, it's amazing what a properly set up PT2 can do. I was all set to just use stock coils and not rebuild, but I am really glad I decided otherwise; it really opened up a whole new thing for me as far as rebuilding goes and not just on the PT. I recently got a little dual coil RDA, and playing with that and discovering what it can do has been immensely fun for me. I am sure the KFL+ clone will be just as enjoyable.

I have said it before, but it bears repeating, I am glad I found ECF and all of the great people here. It has made my vaping experience much more fulfilling, and much less costly. :toast:

I have an authentic Russian 91% and I like it. Still trying to dial in the perfect build, My current one is a microcoil wrapped around a big ol' 1/8" drill big with cotton pulled through. Formerly I had a sleeve of steel mesh surrounded by the microcoil with cotton threaded inside. Worked dang good for a while

Yes .............The Russian 91% Kayfun Lite With A Twist............ on order !

I've had my best luck with the EHPro KFL+ clone. Built a couple authentic KFL+ coils for a buddy yesterday, and aside from a tiny difference in the drip tips they were indecipherable.

The machining and finish are better on the authentic tank. I bought the EHPro clone first, the authentic second (both KFL+ V2's).

The threading on the authentic is much better.

The horizontal juice channels on the authentic are wider than those on the EHPro, but the vertical EHPro channels are deeper than those on the authentic.

Ultimately, I don't know if I see a $95+ difference between the EHPro and authentic KFL+V2. They are both outstanding.
