No, not interesting. 90% blocked artery under collarbone. Felt lightheaded, dizzy, somewhat sick for over a year. Took doctor’s seven months to figure out what was wrong. By that time I couldn’t walk 100’ in a day. The blood was draining down my right carotid, not being pumped up, not so good for brain.

One doctor told me it was 100% my fault because I used to smoke. Turns out it was a design flaw in my body. Stent put in, things great, then have had 60+ mini stroke type episodes ranging from completely scrambling my brain, deleting some memories, unable to walk properly for a short time, to just feeling extremely odd and nauseous. Those episodes are pretty much gone now but the brain is still trying to get back to normal function. It’s incredibly frustrating when you can’t remember, express yourself, or physically do something you know you know how to do but can’t get it to work. What’s happened to me is very minor, though at times, for a short periods of time, completely debilitating, and nowhere near as extreme as what the OP has gone through. I can’t even imagine what he’s gone through though I do understand the frustration and need to want to apologize up front just in case which is the only reason I’m writing this. Geez, I hope this makes sense. :)

jfango, glad you got your gear back. And not to hijack your thread but I wanted to address FlamingoTutu post.

FlamingoTutu,
Don't you just hate it when the dr's blame everything on smoking? That seems to be what they say when they can't find what is wrong with someone. I guess that is why they are practicing medicine, they ain't be able to get it right yet. My sister had one dr trying to blame an illness on smoking and she only smoked once or twice in her life, 40 years ago. That is such a crock of .....!
Glad you are doing better. I know how frustrating this can be, had a similar experience, tho not as bad as yours and they caught mine when symptoms starting showing up.

:)

That is so awesome! It always puts a smile on my face when someone has a pack of cigs in one hand, and a pv in the other, and they chose the pv. Kind of like those folks who went to AA, and now hang out at bars drinking tonic water. You, my friend, beat addiction. (or replaced it... but at least you feel better.)
