About an hour after I got to work today, I went to get out my shiny new eGo T to plug into my 4 port usb hub to test the passthrough capability, only to get into the outside pocket of my backpack which I put my eGo in last night so I wouldn't forget it on my way out the door, only to find out that it wasn't there, but what was there instead was a GAPING HOLE. So here I am running up the parking garage retracing my steps, digging through everything, looking between the seats, around the car, under it, under both coworker's cars I was parked between.
I looked in the elevator, in the lobby of the parking garage, outside in the "smoking" area. Then like a light bulb smashing me upside my face I see the street I crossed earlier this morning; a sea of concrete and dirt covered snow. My heart sank, of ALL the places my new gadget could have fallen out, surely it wasn't during my 5 second trek across the road to my building.
I looked down and followed my path across the street trying to make out anything black and silver standing out on the wet road and in the dirt stained snow along the curb(s).
Back in the office, I started to ponder, CSI style how the battery fell out of my bag, I sling on strap of my backpack over my right shoulder, which tilts the pack down a bit, and of course the hole in the pocket was RIGHT THERE waiting to let anything fall right out.
I did this a total of 3 times today at work, even walked up and down the middle of the street ( its a pretty busy downtown street ) and along each curbside in case a car pushed it. Did the same 2 times in the parking garage, but my foot path from my car to the elevator was nowhere near in the way of cars , and I dont think given the close quarters and having 2 cars on each side, that the eGo battery would roll very far, but even so I walked down the ramp a ways and looking between cars on both sides.
No Luck.
Tore up the house after work, looked inside / under the couch and recliner where I had my backpack this morning, followed my tracks through the house , and outside, looked all over the walkway and in the driveway hoping it fell out ANYWHERE but in the street....
So far, nothing has turned up, so now I have 3 unused cartos, and 4 juices I can't use until I am able to order up something which probably wont be until after the new year now that the holiday crunch is upon us.
So if anyone has a spare standard 510 battery they would maybe be willing to trade for an unopened 10ml Peach or Caroline Sunset , or both since they are 10ml bottles ( 18mg each ) ....or even if I could just borrow it until some other poor sap has a tragic tale ... PM me.
Or if not, thanks for reading this and letting me vent.
