So I got a Kylin mesh rta from the clearance at wet vapes. It was a top fill rta for cheap and though it was mesh, it had a spring under the coil, which imho is the only GOOD mesh (if a mesh can’t hold the wick to the mesh its pointless. End stop.) I thought “score!” I now know why it was on clearance. It may be a top air rta but it doesn't act like one. If you even just tip it it leaks. Bad. This thing is unusually awful. It vapes great as soon as it’s finished leaking all over your hand, but i hate that. It might be ok if you only fill it half way, but it doesnt have a real big tank to begin with. I also got an ijoy Sabre for more or less the same reason. It works well but they weren’t kidding about 20700. It wont take a 21700. First I’ve seen of that. I’ve actually got a few 20700s so it’s totally doable since I only got it for a backup, but I wasn’t expecting that. They also had a drag x pluses on clearance (which is a pretty standard 18650 mod) that is kinda awesome, so I bought one, but the Kylin mesh rta? No bueno. The Sabre is ok. Great if you’re buying batteries special for it,

The Sabre is microusb2. A bit of a problem. As such a magnetic adapter can be helpful. The primary weakness of microUSB2 (and the reason usbC was pushed out ahead of schedule) is it has an extreme problem with insertion count. A way to mitigate this is to put a magnetic microUSB2 adaptor plug in a device and LEAVE IT THERE. This reduces the number of insertions. It’s added expense and it effectively makes the device proprietary as people are playing games with the magnetic standards, but it works. A better one is to use a charger and swap batteries, but if its not possible there is this other method.

The Kylin Mesh RTA from Wet Vapes clearance seemed like a steal — top fill, spring under mesh, solid flavor — but leaks ruin it completely. Tip it once and it floods your hand. The iJoy Sabre, on the other hand, performs decently but strictly fits 20700s, not 21700s. Its micro-USB2 port is another downside, though magnetic adapters can extend its life. The Drag X Plus clearance mod redeems the haul — reliable, solid, and simple. Verdict: Kylin’s a mess, Sabre’s fine, Drag X Plus wins.
