I have to know, how do you justify the cost. I'm not saying it's not worth the cost I just am curious why, what makes it so pricey?

i can't speculate. i don't know.

though, i do know precision machining and custom work can get pricey. i also know there are a few little tidbits on that RDA that makes it a cut above the rest.

the negative posts for example are solid and welded in place. there are 3 slotted air holes to give you the option for 1 or 2 at a time for single or dual coil vaping with adjustable air. also, the adjusting ring locks in place. and the securing holes in the posts are slotted to accept ribbon natively... or twisted wire if crimped. it's going to be a lot nicer than drilling out my igo-w to ridiculousness and never being able to go back should i want a more moderate coil one day. well... unless i want to buy a bunch of replacement caps @ ~$40 a pop... or a bunch more igo RDAs.

i like it. i want it. it's got a very nice feature set. it's built well. it's rugged and shiny and it's reviewed very well and impressed the couple reviewers i've seen review it.

more importantly. i want it... and i'm getting it. :D

I completely understand now:laugh:
But seriously, I can see that it must come down to the fact that it not only has the bells and whistles, it has the better bells and the better whistles. I can appreciate that.
I'm only getting started in RDAs. I just got my second one today. lol the IGO W for less than $10. I opened my packeage while logging onto ECF and this was the first thread I see and that's what prompted my questioning. I'm sure that as I begin to advance in my understanding of RDAs I will see the reasoning in spending the extra cash.
Thanks buddy:thumb:

Its similar to the reason why a new IPhone can go for 1000 bucks on ebay. People with money HAVE to be the first to get it.. Only 2000 are being made worldwide, so the manufacturer knows he can jack up the price for maximal profit, sell out and leave the market. Clones will take over.

That also makes sense. And perhaps smart business as well. Can't really fault a guy for that I guess.

not for me

i'm not that type of person.

i'm treating myself here. it had the feature set and quality i was looking for. plus there's a rumor there may be a bottom fed option or pin in the future.

i'm just getting it while i can before i'm stuck with a second rate, shoddy, mass produced clone.

don't get me wrong, i'm not against clones. but for once, i want the best, the original, of the item that i wanted before i knew it existed.

i don't buy into the hype usually. this time i'm treating myself. for example, i won't buy an apple product for myself or my wife and kids.

the mod i want to pair it up with (in the event i can't get a bottom feeding option first) certainly isn't "fancy" it's a work horse with nearly no inherent voltage drop and minimum moving parts.

matter of fact, i don't "have" money. i had money tied up, so the zenith cost me less than some youde products.

The Zenith v2 s a great RDA. In my opinion it's the most beautiful RDA made so far and the quantity of available AFC rings is impressive. Vape is top notch with the best vapor of any device I own but I prefer my magma all in all based on the flavor and quantity of juice it can hold. I'm keeping both of them :)

For me it's:
-Delrin insulator as the ceiling making it more like a kiln than a top cap.
-Welded wide hole slots in the posts.
-Silver contact
-Massive dual 4mm (each!) airflow, but I bought a dominator which I like better for the time being. So screw you zenith! For being so pricey...

I remember a time when 'clones' were called what they really are, counterfeits. Why is stealing someone's intelectual property (and hard work) viewed so kindly in the vaping world? I guess you never had your job moved to china.

Unfortunately, it's the bane of the "new" business world.....
Build cheap......Buy cheap......it break.....buy MORE!!
Don't see many Chinese "muscle cars" around, do you????!!!:glare:
Yeah....there's a REASON for that!!!
Sorry......for ME...and LOTS of others....
Shanghai is NOT the "new Detroit".....or "Silicon Valley", either!!:(
Happy (USA!)(vaping) Trails!

Today many of us are taking a more nuanced view. Take for example the Russian 91%. A counterfeit?

I have a Kraken clone with a fake serial number. I would not hesitate to call that a counterfeit.

But my Russian clone without any logo or serial number whatsoever? Is it a clone of a clone, a counterfeit of a clone, or a counterfeit of a counterfeit? You decide. (In the meantime I will just vape.). ;)
