Hello everyone...
Quik background:
I joined ECF sometime in 2009 ,possibly early 2010..
Back then my wife and I both quit smoking with ecigs, my wife had absolutely no problem switching however for me I had GIANT issues.
This was during the time some of the members here where discovering the "Something is Missing" concept that was developed onto what US now commonly called Whole Tobacco Alkaloids.
Back then these where first being developed by Dvap.
Well I quit try to quit smoking, because Snus was to expensive and hard to get in the US and WTA wasn't readily available either.

Fast foward:

So here I am late last year trying to make the switch again...
Each time I fall into a deep depression around 3-6 weeks into totally quitting smoking...
Most recently I quit for 1 solid month and started once again to fall into the same depressed state and I gave up for a while .
I've been smoking and vaping the last 4 days and I don't want to smoke, but I honestly don't have a choice,my depression isn't the I'm tired and don't feel good it's total utter dispair.
So I started smoking again 4 days ago (after 30 daysno cig)& obviously cigarettes taste awful after vaping for a month.
So obviously the alkaloids in tobacco are my issues and they seem to do 2 things regulate my mood and have a antidepressant quality.
I'm trying not to give up totally again and need WTA help, suggestions and recommendations.
If ANYONE has real experience with WTA,please tell your story and help me understand how to use them.
If WTA is used constantly and is expensive,I won't be able to use it long term and may have to just smoke because of any mental illness and if that's the case there's no sence in me trying anything else and just smoke.
I Vape 6mg sub ohm, and always feel like something is missing, would I have to use WTA all the time?
I'm forced to diy my own eliquid because of disability and lack of money, could bi use WTA in my diy?
Most of all does my story sound like the case book WTA story? Really I need help,so I don't just give up all over again.
I don't expect medical advise only to see if my "missing something" sounds like WTA to most of your all?
Thanks for your time and suggestions, I'd much rather Vape, but can't afford to
Vape and use Smokeless tobacco and I hope WTA, could be my final answer to the struggle...thanks to you all.

I have read that it has helped a lot of people with quitting. Most of what they have said is it gives you more of the calming effect like a cig. Some did mention the price and said they only use it like, first thing in the morning or after meals or if upset and so on but, use regular liquid the rest of the day but, I have never used it, only read about it so, thats all.

Thanks for the replies, I was hoping to get a lil first hand experience, I've searched countless times and read so much...

If its possible for the actual consumers or WTA to give a lil first hand experience, to me that's what I'm missing in each thread, so I started a new one, in hopes WTA could be discussed in a before use and after using format to help others with similar alkaloid deficit issues when making the switch.
Thanks so much again

I've used WTA. My husband too. Yes, it's expensive, but nowhere near as expensive as cigarettes, so that shouldn't be an issue.

We don't vape it all the time. We dedicate one e-cigarette to WTA, and only use it if we're feeling a bit jittery, moody, or thinking about a cigarette. I too, suffer from miserable moods when quitting, but that was before vaping. I don't suffer from emotional issues this time, and whether that's due to the WTA, I don't know.

I've been quit close to 2 months, and my husband about 3 weeks. At first we used the WTA 3-4 times a day, but now I don't need it at all, or very seldom, and my husband once every second day or so.

WTA doesn't give you a discernible "hit" - well, it doesn't me. But if I need it, I vape it for a minute or two, then use my regular stuff. Within about 5 minutes I feel better.

We don't know for sure how much it helped, but we were glad to have it around in those first crucial weeks.

Hope that helps!

Something else I've noticed when/while making the switch is that I believe I'm getting more of a effect from nicotine while vaping; the reason I say this is that after 1 month of vaping sub ohm I can't seem to get satisfied from a cigarette.

What seems to work best is to smoke a lil bit of a cigarette, then Vape instead, otherwise I'll just chain Vape.
It's really odd but for myself there seems to be a huge synergy.

Now after quitting cigarettes for a month and hitting that same depressed feeling that I've ran into before, I had to smoke quiet abbot in one day, it's almost as if 'whatever' is in cigarette smoke, that's not in vapor has a longer effect.

Hi there. For reference, for 37 years prior to switching to vaping in April 2011 I was a pack and a half smoker of full-flavored Winstons.

I have vaped WTA from Aroma E-juice since it was first offered in September 2011, pretty much all day every day. For most of that time I vaped the 24mg flavored version, G. I. Joe, but recently started exclusively vaping a new 6mg unflavored version.

I'm sure there are a few others, but I'm probably a rare bird in that for more than four years WTA has been my all day vape. For me it has been so satisfying, so *important* to me that I've never even thought about using anything else. I love the stuff. Even at unflavored 6mg 100% VG base it provides a phenomenal throat hit and overall sensory experience that I never obtained with any juice without WTA. I can't imagine life without it.

Psychological effects are more difficult to address. I've always been a pretty happy guy, but of course for 41 out of my 54 years nicotine/WTA has been part and parcel of me. Maybe I'm a happy guy because of that, in spite of that, or maybe even it has no relation. I'm not really dying to find out. What I can say is that during the 4 1/2 years WTA eliquid has been in my life I have had quite a few serious events occur that (in probably even the most dispassionate observer's mind) could make a smoker pick up the smokes again.

I didn't.
Your mileage will vary.

Healthwise, I'm healthy as an ox. Being Mr. WTA has had absolutely no ill effect on me, as well as vaping in general. Physically I feel as if I never smoked. I'm good. The doctors say I'm good. No hair has grown on the palms of my hands and I haven't degenerated into a slavering addict. It's all good.

I would be happy to answer any specific questions to the best of my ability, but know that I can't speak for anybody but me. I have some general observations about WTA out there in the wild but only what I've gleaned from the internet and we know how that goes.

Rose, thanks so much!!!

It seems your reply in itself makes what's going on with me make perfect sense...
Being that a small amount of a cigarette, then vaping works perfectly, but if I don't smoke at all I tend to not get enough from vaping and I'll chain Vape until I'm getting heart palpitations from nicotine.

Rose, if it's no improper edict to ask where have you purchased WTA, who would you recommend, since I've never tried it? I'm ordering some Monday again thank you

I get mine from Whole Cig, and here's a link. 30ml WholeCig WTA e-Liquid

As @snork said, Aroma E-Juice has it too. Good luck!

Snork,
Do you use Aromas "6mg sub ohm" variety?
Also if I used Aroma, is there a way I could use it different in order to make it last longer/ be more economical?
Any ideas in that department using Aroma's version?

I swear I'm getting this stuff after all this time and if it works I'm making a freaking bill board to scream it from...j/k

Thanks to you all

Rose,
Have you used the "base wta" before? Any experience mixing it?
I make my own eliquid,I enjoy doing it and it's cheaper,so I've always made my own.

When the company's that sell WTA describe the extract, no one seems to give a Milligram/.ml measurment, they only offer the nicotine strength, is there a "industry standard" Mg/ml, that I'm unaware of?

Yes, the "6mg sub ohm" variety. He just recently began offering it in response to the vaping scene's trend towards volume over strength. It's the same stuff as the 24mg, just mixed with more VG to produce 6mg. You could dilute it yourself if need be. I've even thought about cutting the 6 to 3 to see how that did - I was so amazed at the virtually indistinguishable feel of 6 as compared to 24 I figure it might be worth a shot. Economics have never been part of the equation for me though, I love it, I pay for it. Big deal, it's a discretionary expense. I could quit you know.

Check out my blog entries.

Yes, I use the base. It works out much cheaper. I mix it at 6 mg, using the following for 30 ml.

PG - 12.5 ml
VG - 12.5 ml
WTA - 5 ml

I actually wrote to Whole Cig, and they pointed me to a calculator. I can't find the link right now, but I'll look for it.

I'm a tootle-puffer, so I have no clue if the mix would be different for sub-ohm.

You are very welcome, and best of luck to you. I'm sorry about your wife. I hope things get better for you.

Keep asking for support on ECF. I think the people on ECF are amazing, and probably saved my life. A bit dramatic maybe, but possibly true.

I hope the WTA works for you! :)
