I went to San Diego this weekend and spent a day with some friends. Some random guy decided to hit on one of my friends, and when he struck out, decided I'd do as a runner-up. Did he really think I'd be satisfied as a runner-up? Apparently he did. He was wrong.
But the evening was saved by the best game of pool I've played in years. I lost, but it was still a hell of a game.

I'm not hatin' on pool players. Little hatin' on folks that think if they strike out w/ one person in a group friends that they can then move on to the next friend. Just ain't right. 
I used to play pool (not code for anything, I swear) with a little baby lesbian back in the day. She was awesome! Guess those little baby lesbians just have skills.

Well, it's gotta work sometimes, or they wouldn't do it. And, you know, maybe if I'd had a couple more glasses of wine, or lower standards, I'd have accepted it - it's been over a year now....
She was cute. Walked up to the table wearing her party hat and said It's my birthday, can I challenge the table after this game? We were just screwing around, and my friends backed out so I played her. It was a flashback to younger days. We'd been playing slop, so any ball in a pocket counted. She wanted to call shots and do it for real. I hadn't played a game like that in 20 years, but I did all right. We got down to just the 8 ball, and she nailed it.
And from the kiss she gave her girlfriend after she won, I'd guess she's got more skills than pool. Heh.

Just another day for me... no score, temporary or otherwise. OTOH, I've been single so long, I wouldn't know what to do anyway! 
It was a nice day though as J&T (my roomies) are on vacation and I get the house to myself for awhile.

Would have been great if T cold have been here, but 2 Valentines days, and still none together.
