Retired in August 2013.

Surgical physician's assistant and RN. Primarily a first assistant in the operating room, the surgeon's second pair of hands during surgery. All types of surgery except for open hearts. I would stealth vape in the locker room or bathroom stall as there was no smoking on the hospital campus; a co-worker said the locker room always smelled better after I had a vape.

The "on call" thing was part of the job. Emergency surgeries in the middle of the night, and then expected to be back at 7 AM for the day's first scheduled surgical case. I don't miss that part of the job at all.

Was forced into early retirement due to a physical disability -- "excessive sleepiness" (I wonder why after 35+ years of being on call?). Worked in a vape shop part time for a year after that. And yes I could vape at the vape shop.

Retired now. My last job was engineer in a large hotel. Strictly no vaping but my workshop was in the basement next to the area with all the big machines. I used to stroll back behind the air handlers and have at it. Even had an old office chair back there. So many odors from the machines, and nobody else went back there anyway. Before that I drove my own truck from job to job so nobody cared.

It's all about the money. A great opportunity for all those who make their own juice. Regulations and laws have never stopped anyone for getting what they want or need.

I'm retired but my ecig goes where I go. I've gotten quite good at stealth vaping. In the doctor's office while waiting for them, in the hospital, or anywhere else I go.
My doctor asked me to vape in his office once. He was curious... he doesn't allow it, but he's not against them, either.

I did that for my Doctor after I told him I had switched from cigarettes to vaping. He was surprised that it didn't stink up his exam room and he decided after checking it out that vaping was a great way to quit smoking. For a while afterwards he had pro vaping pamphlets in his waiting room.

He still asks me if I'm still vaping and not smoking. He's still on board after 9 years of my vaping as his patient.
