I have the X-Pro m80 plus that i am running an Atlantis 2 with a .3 ohm coil on. it worked fine for about the first week that i used the tank on it, but recently whenever I fire it at 30w (my normal wattage), the mod will read it at 1.0+ ohms and cause the voltage to go up quite a bit and get hot really fast until i tap the fire button a couple times until it goes back to reading .3. Is this a normal thing with these types of mods or is it something that i should be worried about?

i have not had anything like that happen with mine - do you happen to know which version of the firmware you are running?
i believe if you press and hold the reset button (with a paperclip or something - it's the tiny hole between the + and - buttons) it should reset and show firmware version

thats what I figured... When i take it off and clean the connections then put it back on it will read .3 for the first session, but when i go to start my next vape session i have this problem
that should be latest firmware update (though I still don't think it really 'fixed' the TC issue...) - have you had that issue with any other tanks/ attys?
I had this exact same issue with my xpro m80 on software version v0006... so its not your software, i believe its something in the 510 pin with the connection because it happens with every atty i try... the worst for me if when it starts a hit at .4 and then mid way thru a lung hit it jumps to like 1.7 ohms and burns the crap out of your throat and coil... there was no solution to fix it for me so i just got a new evic VT and this thing is MINT! I just couldnt handle the feeling of "playing russian roullette" everytime i took a hit lol 
Sounds like a coil issue. old coils in my rdas will do that same thing. if the coil is on its last limb it may get soft when heated and shift position and tough something that causes a short. The ohms would jump way up. in my attys they would sag at heat and touch the deck. maybe try a fresh coil?
I have this same mod and depending on the length of the 510 on the atty this is most likely going to be your problem. Just pick up a small pack of o-rings from any hardware or automotive store and fit it inbetween the bottom of the atty and the top of the mod but not inside the 510 connection. This fixed the wonky ohm readings I had on my Subtank.

Nothing surprising about that.
It's nothing to do with your x-pro m80.
It's to do with running low ohms coils.
It's the reason that people who use mechs with low ohm coils would value things like copper mods, minimum number of contact points, squeaky clean threads, silver plated contacts.
Some routine cleaning with alcohol might help.

I might add that the so called floating pin on, the, m80, has issues. Trying to make the atty flush with mess the pin up and cause the mod to read incorrectly

I started off using Smok box mod (M45 and M80 to be exact) and I would always have major connection problems dealing with the 510 connection. My only advice is to try to give your atty a flush connection between the Box.
