I've been noticing that too, usually its 1 reply 0 views though. Seems like some glitchy code. As far as forum glitches go, that would be one of the least annoying ones I have ever seen lol.

AFAIK, the amount of views isn't refreshed in real time like the replies would be. More than likely it refreshes on a 30 minute cycle or something of the sort.

That seems like in odd way to code, but makes sense.

Not really. Having it refresh in real time would be a pretty good strain on the system. The database for a forum this size is ungodly huge, so there are a lot of processes that have to run at certain times, rather than to constantly update.

So, that IS the cause then? I only noticed it within the past few days. That is not to suggest it is a new thing, I just never noticed it before. And, the periodic, rather than continuous, updating makes sense to me. Thanks!



FWIW, the figures I put in post #1 are actual, not fabricated. Very busy and new thread, apparently.
