I just got my order in and this is my first time using the x2. I just love it!!!!!!!! I got it to use at home so hoping for more hrs of use. Hummmmmm might have to order another one of these...lol I will most likely use it at home and when I go to my kid's houses but will still use my 78's when out and about so no one thinks I have something illegal....My son and daughter-in-law and son-in-law are cops and my daughter,2 son-in-laws are correctional officers. Can't get away with anything in my family...lol BTW with this order I got the new grape. Man I love this flavor...

You know, I thought exactly like you when I started out. I was convinced it HAD to look like a stinkie. I had 4 78mm volts and a 1300 X2 for home use only. But I loved the X2 so much, I ordered 2 more in the 650 size. In fact, I loved those so much, the 78's got neglected.

One time I went grocery shopping and to run some other errands with the car. I just grabbed one of the smaller X2s with a clearo attached when I went out the door. I thought, I'll just see what other people's reactions will be. You know what? No one paid any attention. I even took a few minutes to vape around the outside smoking area of the stores, actually hoping to get a reaction. Most people ignored me going about their business. The ones who did pay some attention to what I was doing just looked away or nodded with a smile. And this is in Cincinnati, where I have never seen another soul who was vaping.

Since then I have gotten larger APV's, topped with juice tanks, and vaped them at numerous public events like festivals, outdoor concerts, where ever I go. I mean, I vape a freaking huge Silver Bullet out in public. Hardly anyone pays attention, and I no longer even attempt to hide what I am doing when I vape in public. Now, I am discreet. Even though I believe that vaping should not be considered the same as smoking, I abide by whatever non-smoking laws there are for public places.

So my advice is do what is comfortable for you and abide with the laws to avoid issues with the legal system. But should you get a wild hair, you likely don't need to be paranoid that people will consider what you are doing is drugs or something illegal. No one really gives a rat's :censored:

well I hope you have better luck with the 650 than I have. Bought one 11th of July, and it crapped out in a week, was used about 6 times. Got a replacement the 18th and was used two times, and its crapped out. Was used twice.
So far, I'm not impressed, as my KGO has run circles around the X2 for working and performance. And, Yes I've notified them, but no response yet.

Well you know another in cincy that vapes. No one gives my x2 a second look. I was at the reds game today in a clients suite. Vaped for aroung 5 to 6 hours there. Not a word. A dude in the suite next to me lit up a smoke. Everyone went ape crazy. I used my 650 and 900
My wife was the only one that commented. Her comment was....how much you gonna spend on this stuff.

Reds won 9 to 4. W00t!

I'm sorry to hear that, Dean71. I certainly hope it gets taken care of for you soon.

I'm sorry to hear you're having that much trouble. Can you tell us what color your X2s are? I've been using everything in silver/chrome but I've seen comments about problems with green ones. Why there is or would be a difference between colors is a complete mystery to me. I'll also say that SI seems to be running a little "behind" right now due to a larger than normal amount of business and a software problem that has, apparently, been rectified.

My X2's were white, but color shouldn't matter as the insides are the same, I am wondering about the quality control, especially on the 650 mah batts

I know, or would expect, the internals, battery, asic and so on, to be the same from color to color but there have been some complaints about green ones for some strange reason. I have two X2-650s and they are working fine. One is a little over a month old and the other is a little over two weeks old. I have another one coming tomorrow, I hope, and I'll let you know how that one goes. I guess sometimes a bad run happens or something.

I would expect color to have nothing with it unless... the colors are ran in batches. Say 1000 that get wrapped in black, then 1000 that get wrapped in blue, then ... you get the picture. There could have been a bad batch of internals that were used primarily as they were running out the greens ones.

Hope you get the issues worked out on the green ones.

my goofy acting purple x2 650,for some reason has started to act normal for me.
i made out a ticket on it,but decided to keep it,,,,,CS told me as long as the ticket is dated it is under warantee.

altho you don't have to charge them as often,i am thinking i like my 78's the best, they just feel right in my hand.
and of course i like the autos the best,no matter what the size of the battery.

different strokes for different folks,or what ever floats your boat.

The 78mm is all I've been using for days now, they work the best with the CE3 for me. Although mine is a manual but yeah once I got my x2 I thought the 78 would hardly be ever used but it seems to be the other way round.

Yeah, maybe that could be it, but somehow I think the batches might be bigger than 1000 at a time, but still could result in a problem with a specific color. Both of my current ones are silver as is the one I hope is in the mailbox today.

I use both the 78mm and X2 on and off all day, depending on what I'm doing. I don't see either one becoming the "only" way I vape. It' whatever is conevenient at the moment, but they are all automatics. To me a manual "mini" is kind of self defeating, it takes your hand on it to vape but is supposed to mimic a conventional cigarette. Being able to stick in in my mouth and keep on doing whatever I'm doing while I vape is just so much easier and satisfying.

For what its worth, I have found the 78mm's work better on the CE's as well. I find that my 1300mah Auto's work OK, but, my 1300mah's Manuals give a burnt taste unless I give them short bursts. I know they are all supposed to be the same but it has not been my experience. I have three of each type of X2's and they all act as stated above. Auto's OK, Manuals, burnt.

Yep, you're absolutely right. Boils down to what I said about quality control issues from China, no less.

i agree

it has been my experience that all my manuals burn my ce3s,,,so i only us them for dry burning and that is not to often.

I'll be darned i just accidentally learned how to use my spell checker.
1st computer i have ever owned and am teaching my self by accident.
trial and error.

Don't know about the 650's but I have 3 of the 1300s and it takes about 2 1/2 days to run one down but they work flawlessly right up to the end. I got the chrome ones? Hope they fix you up soon, SI's Customer Service is second to none, take my word for it...
