X2 battery problem

Over the last year, my wife and I have purchased probably 15 650mah X2s with few problems. (except the one I put in a full cup of coffee...and the one I dropped on a concrete driveway) However, I just bought 2 more during the Labor Day sale, and I'm having a problem. Only tried one so far. It charges normally...on the included cord with a 1.5v SI wall plug...light is on...wait a few hours...light goes off. Vapes for 30 minutes to 1-1/2 hours and starts blinking, indicating that it's drained. I've never had this happen with a new batt. Any suggestions?

It's a manual BTW.

OK, but, I just charged it in the off position...only took an hour to charge...been vaping now with a mini tank for 2 hours...so maybe it's good. If it continues to act up, I'll do as you suggest. Thx.
