Well, the battery finally wore down so I popped on the charger this morning at (roughly) 8 or 9 am and here I am at 5:10 pm and the blue light is still lit.

Is this normal for the 1300mAh or is it not getting enough juice to charge properly off my laptop?

I had a similar experience with my first 1300. Seemed like the first charge took forever. Make sure you are using the 1.5 amp wall unit. The charger for the smaller batteries is .5 amp. That might be the problem. Otherwise ride it out till tomorrow then call CS.

My X2's take forever to charge on USB ports and especially my laptop. I mean 8 hours or more and I don't even drain them completely before charging. I recently purchased the 1.5A wall adapter and it's really shocking how much faster the X2's charge on it. I didn't even get it for that purpose, I just wanted to be able to charge my equipment without turning on the computer.

Your laptop's usb bus can handle up to 500mA according to specifications. That means you can "take" 500mA from one port, 250mA from two ports etc. In many cases the laptop is not able to supply 500mA on the port or even at all ports that is why it charges slowly.
You can use a 500mA-1500mA wall adapter for faster charging times.

Sitting down, facing forward.
I recently had an experience with an X2-650 that was still indicating it was charging after over 12 hours on a 1.5 amp wall charger. The battery had no appreciable charge on it after all that time. The wall charger did charge a 78mm with no problem, then charged another X2-650 with no problem, so I assumed (that great word) the battery was toast and opened a ticket with SI. Just as a double check, I plugged it back into the same wall charger with the same cable and it charged fully in about three hours. Guess it was an anomaly because it's continued to operate normally. Closed the ticket with SI and all is well once more. I know any USB device that supplies up to 1.5 amps will work, but for some reason I can't explain, I'm using SI wall adapters exclusively with my SI products. Maybe it's brand loyalty or something.

it has nothing to do with charger. These batteries are "smart" and decide themselves how much current to draw during charging. But from what I read here it seems that ~half of X2s have their rapid charge circuitry messed up (my 900mAh seems to be one of them as it take much longer to charge.) But other than charging time being longer this doesn't seem to affect performance of X2s.

I see. So the X2's may be the culprits. I can't complain about battery life at all. It's just the charge time. Good thing I have two of them LOL. Thanks for the info.

Oh, yeah. I'm trying to kick the analogs and have been power vaping like crazy. I think I'm on the second recharge for both batteries and both have the 5-6 hour recharge time. Come to think of it though, I don't know that either battery was fully discharged before I put them on the charger. If the LED was flashing, I'd never see it because I leave the cap on except for charging. However, I would think a partial discharge would decrease the charge time not increase it.

have you tried to vape with them and then recharge them to see if it was a one time fluke.

i have a purple auto 650 that acted goofy on me when i first got it and even made a ticket on it,but when i went to recharge it,,it seemed to take a charge and has worked great ever since.
