I can't answer the questions on whether or not the cones create issues with coil or battery life but I do notice a substantial difference in drags with the cone on and off. It is a harder pull and I didnt like it too much.

Now, you can unscrew the cone a bit to get a normal "cone-less" draw but I am lazy so I just keep it off.

Agreed on the tighter draw with the cone on. It's very close to the analogs I smoked which may be why I like it. Could be the CE3's that I've got are exceptionally "airy", I dunno. I have no basis of comparison other than some prefilled cartos which also draw much tighter than the CE3's.

i hear this all the time,,but i have not had this problem,,,what i have noticed is that some ce3s and cartos are responsible for tight draw,,,i don't have the answer to this,i am sure mrvapor has the answer to it,some thing to do with the tube in the ce3s i think.

of course they will tell you that you battery air holes are restricted.

Sitting down, facing forward.
A CE3 or even a carto can end up with a tighter draw. The outside diameter is just a little bit bigger on them and can restrict the air flow somewhat. If the draw is too hard and you want to be "elegant " you can drill a small hole in the cone to improve the air flow. I don't think the restricted air flow will have any significant effects on the life of the battery or atomizer.
