I asked somewhat similar if it was okay to use in Kayfuns - got a response of yes.

As for this, there is a long thread within the Reos forum and would appear based off of their advise, it is best to wrap a coil (1.5mm ID or on a 16ga needle) for the 2mm RxW but do NOT make it a tight/touching coil. Then, cut the tip at an angle and basically insert as if you are threading a bolt / turning a screw. Leaving the slightest bit of a gap allows the RxW to bulge in between the coils. Also, to avoid choking off the wick, they say not to wrap wire around the RxW ....but to thread it in an already created coil. Additionally, once the RxW is threaded, go back and try to get another smaller drill bit or something into the RxW thus opening up the inner section.

Many are using the 2nd smallest rod on the Artistic Wire Gizmo to make coils (similar to 16ga needle size), thread the wick, then use the smallest rod to open up the inner section.

Check out the thread...it's a good read.

Thanks for the info guys!
I'm wondering how tight to wrap around the xc with a drill bit inserted , I don't want to choke it but I don't know....?

I just do it "good n tight" a lot of the tension is relived when you pull out the paperclip or drill bit

Are you making a coil and then threading the wicks?
I wrapped mine around the wick while using a big needle inside the wick.

On the fat stuff (just for general info) I used to double the wick in just the coil area and wrap right onto it with nothing inside (pretty tight too). On the skinny stuff, I always wrapped a micro on a 1/16" drill bit. It was difficult, at first, to get the tip of the wick into it; but it did go in every time. (nice clean cut, little e-juice whetting, and twist it in until it takes) The pics are mostly to show how it's not constricting or deforming the shape of the xc-132 at all. (On the fat stuff, the 116, I had no concerns about choking the peas out of it)

All that said, cotton's better below .5-.6Ω, and especially for BF. Ceramic wicks pretty good, but cotton sponges better. And for sub1/2Ω on BF you want a sponge, not a wick. I haven't played with tanks in a long long time. So I'm pretty useless on that front.

I've got it working great in my Russian.
Wrapped kinda tight right on it with a needle through the middle.
Chimney on with wicks pointing up.
Then wicks tucked in to kind of lie across the channels.
Vaping nicely, at 1.4.
Note: I use XC116 because I suck at wicking and coils and want to do it as infrequently as possible.

Wishes great in fogger v4 I wrapped rxw while stuffed with a needle. Fed some into an existing coil, fit kinda loosely, works like crap, that's in r91. Wrapped tight in a genny and it's cutting it off for sure.
