Hi there, I didn't see anything like this browsing the forums so maybe this is a new issue?

When my Xcube 2 goes idle, it keeps restarting itself, brings up smok logo, then firmware version then black screen and the trigger lights flash and then it repeats. Also switching the device off and turning the Bluetooth on also has this effect on it... I have messaged smok, via email and facebook but they have not got back to me... Before this started happening, a week ago it would seem to freeze up when I pulled the trigger down to vape, this happened after every 10-20 puffs, someone suggested I leave it over night with the tank removed, with the cover off and the batteries out, maybe some juice got in there and this will dry it out, and it worked for a couple of days and now this is happening... obviously I cannot be 100% positive, but I've never split juice on the mod and if the tank has leaked a small amount I have always cleaned it up straight away, however never seen any of the juice anywhere on the mod apart from just around the tank, not even on the buttons.

Just to clarify the firmware is up to date on the mod and the android app is up to date too.

If any other info required please ask, I will do my best!

Hi and welcome Kris how old is the xcube 2? If its within warranty I'd return it as faulty, I have an xcube 2 but have not experienced your issue so can't offer a solution I'm afraid. Does it do it with all your tanks or only one, how many tanks do you have and what type of tank are they. I'm thinking maybe something is tripping a safety feature if the unit is not defective.

The xcube 2 was bought in November and i was given it for Christmas day. I have a kangertech mini and plus v2, I also own a uwell crown tank. I developed the first set of problems with the crown tank on, it was like the software on the device was freezing up and wouldn't stop supplying current to the tank until it reset itself. It was fine for about a week after I'd left it overnight with the cover off and the batteries out and putting the kangertech plus v2 on, but now it seems to have a completely different issue...

Pending on where it was bought it may still be in warranty, crown premade coils seem to be very hit and miss if used in temp control as I understand it there are two different metals in the ss coil. Coil is made of ss but the legs are made of another metal and quite a few people having issues with them in temp control. Kanger premade coils also seem very hit and miss as well but hard to think you got bad coils in both tanks so yeah try new coils if you have them or go to a local vape shop and ask if they will build you a ss coil for the subtank. If none of that works then try to return the xcube under warranty but you'll have to work fast before the xcube goes out of whatever warranty.
