For one.... something fancy... :)

If you just drop a link in a post... it'll get named the same as the webpage's title ( if it has one ), if you wanted a different name for the link instead... type the link name you want seen and then highlight it... click the link button and paste the actual url address in there and then you've named the link as you'd prefer it to be instead of taking the default webpage title.

Test of Linking.

Same as above ^^^

Cool. That Works. I never knew how to do that. Thanks!

the only place i haven't seen it is in 'conversations' but if you look over on the left there is 'forum' which has a drop-down menu including 'watched threads'
just found that recently and was very happy to do so

As you go through the forum jumping around so to speak - I have even had it disappear when I was on "New Posts" - I think it has some kind of setting that tells it to keep links to where you came from or something similar to that.

Depending on the screen size, watched threads may not be visible in the header. If i hold my iPAD vertically, then watched threads moves to the far right and can be accessed by clicking the "..." (it's a little ironic that in that orientation that ignored forums and ignored thread remain visible)

The menu's aren't really that hard to figure out as some are letting on if you are just paying attention a little bit.

The top menu is constant with the only change seen is when the display area is narrow and some of the items are put into the 3 bar menu so all of them are available... other than that, it stays pretty much the same.

The menu area just below it... call it the secondary menu is area specific. So if you are the main forum, it'll contain items relevant to forum posts like the "Watched Thread", Watched forum" etc... in the Conversations area it has actions related to the Conversations. As the area is narrowed down... the other items that can't fit on the screen are placed onto the ellipse menu ( ie 3 dots like ... )

Will I be able to use my iPad (safari) to do everything here that a desktop user can do? Please forgive me for asking a question after only reading 2 pages of this thread, I have been gone for a long time!

for example, ipad users cannot drag and drop within the site, correct?

thx in advance for making me feel like I'm wrapping coils for the first time lol, jk

yep. click those little dots to the right of 'forums you ignore' to get the watched threads option.

Exactly right. I have accuweather on my desktop so I have screen size diminished on ecf. And when you decrease screen size, it truncates whatever categories are on the RIGHT side of the screen, and puts them in the dropdown "..." In full screen mode the sequence is 'mark forum read', 'search forums', 'watched forums', 'watched threads', etc.

If the sequence would start with say, 'Calendar, Threads You Ignore, Watched Tags, Forums You Ignore, ON THE RIGHT, then those would be the truncated links under the dropdown "..." and all the ones we use will be showing :- )

And there's no reason to have 'search forum' in that list since 'search' shows up on the left side regardless of screen size.
