Thanks! I always just clicked the alert thing, I had no idea this one was different!

"You" can also see them from the "Alerts" Dropdown Menu on the bottom left where it says "Show All" click (If I could do a Screen Shot to post I would) and it will bring Ya' to the same page . . . BTW: "You" can also right click on the "Show All" to open another "Tab" or "New Window" too . . .

There might be an addon that displays that information, but we haven't installed anything like that.

it's there! no idea where i saw it but yesterday there were 116 birthdays, i believe the bad part though - it showed all the avis which was highly confusing.
pretty sure i ended up in that area by going to members and scrolling down some page ..........

Is there a way to tag a member without having to type their name (or copy and paste) - something I can just click on? That would be cool!

I like the tag feature, but I'm always afraid I'm going to get the name wrong (by typing an I instead of L, or an O instead of a 0, etc.)

when you type the at symbol and start typing a name it should automatically start searching the database to try to fill in the name for you so when I start typing in your name @KattMamma once you type in the first 3 letters it starts trying to find a match and shows their avatar as well so helps out

So, why did there used to be only 5 or 10 birthdays listed each day? Is this list ALL members instead of ACTIVE members maybe?

Who's going to mouse over 140 avatars every day to check for birthdays? I have trouble enough just remembering to check at all most of the time.

i was surprised too at the returned number but with over 200k in members there's gonna be some heavy days! not sure how vb sorted but i do remember quite a few lines on some days.

biggest drawback here on xf - the avis instead of names

On the old forum if I was away for several hours and checked "new Posts", I would get maybe 13-15 or so pages. Now the most I have been seeing is 9 pages. I think it's the same # of posts per page, 20. Just wondering about that.

i believe that was being checked into ......

Yea they would check into increasing the post return count as long as it did not affect system performance. If we ask for the world we will get a muddy forum - don't want that now do we...

We do need to see all the posts made, not just some of them.

if worst comes to worst you could always delete the forums in which you are not interested that'll free up space for your favorite forums
