The led on my XL keeps flashing in groups of 5 blinks when on the charger. When I try to use the battery the led flashes like it needs recharging. When I try it on the wall charger the led on the charger is green. When on the wall charger the battery led flashes in groups of 10 blinks.

Please help. Has anyone else had this happen?
BTW its a manual battery.

Your question reminds me to ask my question:

When my XL manual batteries are sitting in the charger, after they are fully charged, about 2 hours after the light on the charger changes to green, the led on the battery flashes 14 times while in the charger. This continues to happen through out the night while left in the charger. Is this normal?

Yes, I had the same problem with a new battery (XL auto) on my last order. Sometimes you just get a dud. I placed an order yesterday, noted in the comment section that I got a bad one, and I'm 100% sure that they will send me a replacement.

I have two that are giving me problems. One right out of the box at first would not take a charge at all, and now it will take one if I leave it on the charger even if the light is green. The other one is about a month old and when you put it on the charger it blinks, light is green and will not charge at all. On my last order I explained this to Mark and they sent me a replacement for one of them. I'm sending the non working one back so they can try to find out what is going on with them.

When i ordered a spare XL manual battery about 3 weeks ago or so. The Dang button wouldn't even push in(broken) .. So i had to make another order per valerie from v4l to get my battery replaced ... geee talk about the company trying to save money on their shipping expense... And why is v4l shipping so expensive ??? Like there should be a mininum like 20$ or less- is like 3.99 or something - NOT 6.95$ for all orders . Just my 0.02$ cents..

I agree, the shipping costs are (to us) very low.

In the past week, I have mailed 3 Priority Mail packages. They were all small enough to fit in the standard Priority Mail cardboard envelope. Each one cost me $5 and change.

Yes, some other companies give free shipping, but do they offer the substantial discount codes we enjoy? Do they include the awesome bonus gifts? Hardly.

Hey Ken, I feel your pain..
On 1 of my XL batteries the button came all stuck in.
When you shake the battery it rattles, my other XL with the non smashed in button doesn't do this.
Fortunately, the one with the smashed in button works, so I didn't ask for a replacement.
Unfortunately it doesn't require any resistance to push it, so I cant keep it in my pocket without it activating.
I been using it here at the computer mostly. Yesterday I got my V4L New version usb manual passthru, so now I am using that, and I don't need the smashed in button XL at all. It has now been retired into the secondary backup battery pile.

As far as shipping goes:
The stamp on my priority mail bag I received on my last order says the postage was $6.82.
I too wonder why they don't use small flat rate boxes. The shipping on them is only $4.85 for up to 70lbs, and they offer way more protection than these priority mail bags do..
What I ordered, would have most definitely fit in a small flat-rate box.
V4L needs to offer a small flat rate box shipping. It would allow for cheaper shipping on smaller orders.

Discount Codes:
Lets be honest now, V4L discounts only bring the prices down to what some others vendors prices are.
But I don't shop at V4L for the absolute lowest prices.
I shop there for selection, reliability, reputation, customer service, warranty, and not having to deal with customs.
Which is why I am willing to pay the slightly higher price.

Freebies:
Personally, I would rather pay less money up front, and not get the freebies...
Since I started vaping on 12/30/09, I have spent $207 at V4L, in a total of 5 orders.
These are all the freebies have received so far:
1 - Pink Lemonade-11mg Cartomizer
1 - Pomegranate-11mg Cartomizer
2 - MountDo (4mg & 11mg) Cartomizers
1 - Lagger-18mg Cartomizer
1 - Banana-8mg Cartomizer
1 - Irish Cream Cartomizer
1 - 5ml bottle of 18mg Banana Cream Pie
1 - 5ml bottle of 8mg Blueberry
1 - 5ml Bottle of 8mg Green Apple

I wish V4L would send me freebies of stuff I will actually use...
For example, I ordered 4 bottles of Nuport, 3 bottles of cowboy menthol and some blank cartomizers.
Why not send me an extra bottle of Nuport or some blank cartos?
Instead, they send me a pomegranate cartomizer and another mountDo cartomizer..

Yes I understand that I am complaining about free stuff. :p
But its a waste of money to send me these things that I wont use.

Why not just offer a 5% no freebies discount code?
Of course this code would have to work in conjunction with other codes.
I'm not giving up my smilin 10% discount. ;)

I work for a computer IT Dept. And we get HUGE discounted shipping rates using fedex. So when we use our fedex machine and put the sticker/price/label on the package it does show the full retail price. But in our system it reflects the discount rate charge that we send back to fedex. Fedex doesn't want us putting discounted rates/prices on packages - like something that weighs 20lbs+ says 4.65$ on package for everyone to see etc.

What i am saying is sometimes i just might want a 5 pack of Carts and not want to spend 9.99$ then use 10% off - then pay 6.95% shipping. thats all. lol

There is no reason, with the volume of product they move, that they could not the eat the packing cost and have $4.95 flat rate small priority mail box option...

Your talking about $2 a box packaging cost...Ill come to work for you if you pay me $2 an order to pack them. Takes 5mins to pack and address a box. Your packers make $20/hr?

There are a lot of us that would like to order 2 bottles of juice and pack of cartos, but we don't because shipping is near half of our order price. You know it would cost all of $2 to ship that first class.

I would also like to see smaller orders have the option of first class mail, but I've done shipping so I also realize the complications of it.

There is no first class flat rate for boxes, each would have to be individual weighed and the proper postage applied which would mean scales and postal meters. Not even considering the difficulty of giving a shipping price in the shopping cart when you buy.

With so many changes happening all the time with V4L I wouldn't be surprised to see things like this in the future though.

Have you been there and seen what goes into packing and shipping an order?

I have. The cost is fully justifiable. They also have to receive and inventory new stock, put it on the shelf and in the computer. Then there are spot checks for quality control, answering customer questions, and dealing with every issue that comes up. The list goes on and on and on.
