    xtar FC2 Micro USB charger for Li-ion / Ni-MH / Ni-CD batteries
Everyone should be aware that it is not advisable to use the built-in USB charging function on mods that use replaceable cells, batteries can be potentially dangerous and must be charged in a balanced way using a dedicated external charger to avoid unnecessary risks.
Xtar FC2 It has passed many international safety and quality certifications, such as RoHS, CE, FCC and so on.

XTAR, a leading company, is well aware of safety in the electronic field and for this reason it leaves nothing to chance, so even in making the "basic" charger it used fire-proof construction materials (Fire-proof) and multiple protections to ensure safe charging. The integrated high-precision MCU prevents overcurrent, overload, overvoltage, short circuit phenomena, if a battery with reverse polarity is inserted the four LEDs positioned in the specific slot will flash simultaneously, finally the soft-start function makes charging safer.

    Packaging:
The inexpensive "hanging display" package allows you to view the charger inside it, on the front of the packaging there is the product name (FC2) and the brand (Xtar) and compatibility with the various types of batteries are listed .
On the back are present; specifications, Shenzhen XTAR Electronics Co., Ltd address, scratch & check, legal logos / trademarks.
    * In the package there are; the FC2 charger, a USB charging cable and the user manual.

Xtar FC2 weighs just 60gr and measures 109x31x52mmm. The two sliding slots are spring loaded and are made of military grade steel, have an excursion that allows the use of cells with a minimum length of 30mm up to a maximum of 80mm.

On the back there are 4 air vents, below are the characteristics of the charger and the ROHS mark of the European directive concerning the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment.

On the side you can see the toggle switch to change the charging speed manually (0.5A-1A-2A).

As FC2 is an inexpensive "basic" charger, Xtar has chosen to equip it with a DC 5V 2A input compatible with a classic but widely used USB socket, giving up more recent solutions.

Xtar FC2 with two independent circuits can load two cells at the same time and through the lateral switch it is possible to manually set one of these
    speed options: 2A-1A-0.5A.
With a constant charge current of 4.2V we can recharge the cells with the following combinations 2A X1, 1Ax2, 0.5A x2.

    Operation Guide:
By connecting the power supply and inserting the battery, FC2 automatically starts charging ...
When inserting the battery or switching between the three distinct currents, the LEDs placed in correspondence with each battery compartment will indicate the current delivered in the form of different flashing modes.

    - The flashing frequency will be the same (3 times) for each charging current used (2A-1A-0.5A)
    - The flashing LEDs will be Led1 and Led2 for 2A charging current. For currents of 1A and 0.5A only Led1.
    - The flashing mode will be of the continuous type for charging currents of 2A and 1A, of the flashing type with sequential scrolling for 0.5A current.

    Note:
    - The flashing mode only indicates the selected charging current;
    - In case you set the charging current to 2A and insert two batteries, FC2 will automatically reduce the charging current to 1A per compartment; the delivered charging current will return to 2A immediately after removing a battery.
    - To activate the "OV Activation" function: Insert the batteries; fully discharged batteries will begin charging within 10 minutes.

    Charging indicators:
    - Led 1-Led 4 with sequential flashing: Charging / activation in progress.
    - Led 4 only with continuous flashing: battery charge equal to 75-99%
    - Led 1-Led 4 on: complete recharge
    - Led 1-Led 4 continuously flashing: short circuit / inverted polarity
    - No light: standby / power off

    Xtar indicates the following parameters:
    - End of charge voltage: 4.2 ± 0.04V
    - End of charge current: ⩽150mA
    - Recommended use temperature of the charger: 0-40 ° C
