I know this thread is a bit dated but these are 2 I was looking at as well.

I noticed one bit of info that was not mentioned. The c i4 will only charge@ 350ma if charging more than 2 batteries, 750ma for 2 batteries.

the xp4 is not clear but should charge up to 1a to each battery. I am sure the nitecore is great but I think the xp4 might be a better route to take. Can anyone confirm the charge time on the i4 using all 4 slots? 350ma would equate to a slow charger. In theory, better for the battery and run time.

I have an XP6 and it drops from 1A to .5A if using an adjacent slot (3 pairs, end - middle -end)
I bet the XP4 is the same with 2 pairs.

Thanks. 500ma is still better than 350ma. It seems that these chargers are not nearly as good as the ones you can find for ni-mh/nicad batteries. I have a powerex maha mhc9000 and you can individually control ea slot, like you have 4 individual chargers.

Maybe the op did make the right decision in saving money and going with the nc i4.

Thanks again

Fast charging is bad for the batteries. It shortens their longevity greatly.

Sent from my Astromech in a galaxy far, far away. The force is with me. so is Mr. chicken.

how does everyone feel about the 4 bay efest charger with the lcd screen, i forget the name and am too lazy to link but its been popping up at vape stores for $40 or $30 "on sale" - they look sweet, i was thinking of dropping the cash on one but wondered the comparison to nitecore

i wonder about that one too. 101vape has both the 4bay and the 2 bay eFest LUC charger, both for less than $30.

personally, i decided to get the xtar vp1 to upgrade my tenergy charger and it is flat-out awesome. VP1 which has only 2-bays, is fantastic. it might be worth it to note that a 4-bay charger might not get all 4 batts charged any quicker than two rounds of 2-batts per round on a two bay charger. depending on the output, the 4-bay may slow down considerably with 4 batts charging at the same time. it might be just as long to complete one 4-batt charge than it takes something like the xtar vp1 to do two rounds of 2-batt charges. just a thought.
