In case of the clownstick, yes I would cancel and wait for this one (although it is a unknown), with the clown sticks you know you will have bugs...with this you have to wait and see, guess it is all a matter of how much patience you have :)
I sold all my clown sticks because the bugs just irritated the hell outta me.....

I'm still holding out to see if I can get a modder to replace the board in the clown with a small screen dna 40. Will find out in a couple of weeks, if not, I should consider offering some of my stock of stuff that I don't use on the classies. But alas, in that regard I am a newb.

if you can't find someone to do the dna 40 transplant. PM me if you want and maybe we could work something out.

Need hand-holding? Guidance? A bud for moral support? I just happen to be available, pokes.

Actually my friend, I CRACKED MY SCREEN TOO LOL.

I was so mad. I had it all working, everything back together but I had the stupid idea of hotgluing my screen in because I wanted it to stay in place a bit better. After hotgluing the screen in, while I was screwing the bottom plate back in, all of a sudden I heard a crack. One of my positive wires was sticking behind the screen pushing it up against the baseplate while i was screwing it in. Really my soul took a dive at that point lol.

My device still works 100% good. I purchased a replacement DNA screen and will try my luck soldering on a new screen. It doesnt seem as easy as the board. But hopefully all will turn out well. I recieve the replacement screen tomorrow. I will update what happnens.
I emailed evolv and im sent my broken screened DNA through to them. They are going to replace it.

anyone ever have an issue with the xvostick clone center pin moving off center? Mine been fine since Jan, but today the pin has shifted, if i try and move it back, it just springs back to this off center position.
no, i have not had a problem with my clone xvo's center pin. dunno if you're willing to take it apart and make sure the positive pin/spring retainer screw is still fully screwed down. here's pic of the clone's 510 assembly. make sure the silver cup (silver piece at the right side, bottom of blue wire) is fully threaded on white piece (circled in red).

I got mine 3f clone in today, and I tried to find an answer but couldn't find it. On Google and not here on the forums, so here is a question I hope someone is willing to answer

My father and I both got the same mod, and the same problem.

It seems that the mod after my battery is half way empty (for my father on lower wattage it takes longer) it doesn't vape as good anymore as it supposed to do? It looks like that it just work half way mech-mod. It regulates the output wattage down, but not up if you need it?

When I put both my battery and my atty on let's say a vtc mini it works just fine, lots of vape.

I hope someone understands my somewhat vague problem and have a solution.

Thanks in advance

the clone xvostick or "clownstick" as we call it in this forum is known for having a sub par board inside. it works ok but not as good as an authnetic dna 40 xvostick. A lot of people, myself included, buy this clone and remove the stock board and replace it with an authentic evolv dna 40 board.
there's not much you can do unless you're willing to upgrade the board inside. FYI www.sweetvapes.com has the evolv dna 40 small screen (no atty lock) for around $35. if you're handy with a soldering iron you could replace the stock anemic board with it. i did just that and it vapes like a champ now, love it.

Awesome post & pics. Surprising he did not widen the display screen cutout so he could fit & see the whole display after all that. Have to take the night apart to see how hard that will be & how it translates to the display. Potentially more difficult. May have to order small screen DNA60.

Have anyone tried fitting dna60 to xvostick? I bump into this post and he manage to get it replaced.
i'm scratching my head as to why he didn't dremel out the screen hole. he should of just bought a small a screen. either way, 100% improvement over the stock board. i got my scopes set on my VS DNA 40 that i have been neglecting to use. i plan on doing a "triple evolv bypass" surgical procedure and turn it into a 60.......with 2 amp charging

Same here. It makes no sense not to dremel out the opening when you have gone that far. I don't think he would have been able to order the small screen version yet TBH, but if you do that much dremeling on a plate to fit it in, at least make it so you can see it.

I have had my sights set on the Knight V1 for this type of install, but I gotta try to get some matching paint to dress up the dremel cutouts after I do it. Maybe I would just order the small screen to make it simple & professional looking.
