Alrighty, despite my bitterness due to a DOA Indulgence during the first shipment, David has made it right. The redelivered device has become perfect at a steal of $59.00. To be honest, I'm not a stickler for perfection, so I thought the first one was good had it not been for the broken switch.

Anyway, I received my replacement today, a week earlier than the last, yay postman! To much of my surprise, I was also resent an 18650/6v cup extender. Wasn't expecting that at all. Thank you very much for that Eastmall!

I notice that the 18350 cup is a tad bit longer with a spring now. I didn't have a problem with my standard cup to begin with, so I pulled out the inner spring in the new one, stretched it to accommodate my 3.7v cr123s. Now I have a cup for every battery that I own.

The connector pieces are much better than the first, mine at least are well centered and there is no slant in the atty's when connected. I had the opportunity to try the old 510 connector and the new one. The new one fits the 510 perfectly and leave the slightest gap for a perfect drag. Where as the first one felt like sucking through a straw.

Yes, the engraving is a bit rough.....but to be honest, I can appreciate that this was a totally crafted device from the ground up, not a converted flashlight. So in essence, my device now has character! Again, not that I'm a stickler for perfection, as long as it works, I'm happy.

The device performs very well. I now can use my 510's, 401's, 901/4072's and 801's. Speaking of 801's, what ever took me so long to try those is beyond me! My new favorite, despite that it's not new! The HV801s work great too! I tried 6v with the regular 801 and there is a slight plastic taste, but not on the HV801's!!

The vapor production is perfect and I have no complaints. This is a beautiful item and I strongly recommend this product. For the value and performance not to forget beauty....you can't go wrong!

Now, if only I could find a switch that will replace the other broken one........

To David and Di, I deeply apologize for being such an .... You've done me right and totally cleaned the slate with your above and beyond customer service!:thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

Ugh I'm jealous - I should have ordered an Indulgence with my order on Thursday - sounds like an excellent piece. I'm definitely going to work on getting one soon.

The 801 is my favorite so far as well. I've tried: Loong Totem v9/ Magnum/ E9, KR808/ DPV9/ Vapor King, DSE801, DSE901, EM901, and so far David's 801 is by far my favorite device. The only thing I DON'T like about it is that it's from the first batch of 801's from about a year ago, and the switches on the batteries are far too sensitive (if i walk with one in my pocket it'll heat the atomizer up so hot it can burn my leg), and 4/6 of the original batteries I had are dead. NOTE: These are not the same as the 801 batteries David currently sells, and these specific problems no longer exist from what I understand.

I also have a 510 and 401 on the way from David and I'm planning to do some reviews on those.

Wow, you've had an arsenal of ecigs you've tried! I've never gone beyond the m401/402, 4081, 901's and 510's until my last order. When I first got into this, I bought RN4081's and 901's to start. Listening to all the hoopla in the beginning, people said that atomizers generally lasted 2 weeks....yeah right.

So, I found that my attys were lasting 1-3 months, so I had large quantities of RN4081's and 901's/4072's that left me no reason to try others. But, with all the hype about the 510's, I gave in and bought a few. RN4081's were my favorites, even over the 510's, 901's, m401/402's.

Unfortunately, I'm out of 4081's and my Indulgence doesn't cater to it,......there will probably be no reason to purchase them any longer unless I intend on using my self made mods.

But now, had I known the cart on the 801's would actually last 3 to 5 times longer than any cart for the models I own, I would have switched over long ago! The vapor production is really impressive as well.

When ever you get the chance or make another order, don't forget about the Indulgence! I'm waiting to see what this Obsession is all about, but I will probably wait for a review this time around ;)

Something tells me the Obsession is going to be like a lady finger/smaller device. We'll see if I'm right.

Yes I've tried just about every different make of electronic cigarette out there, with the excepton of the RN4081, the Indulgence, the Obsession, the GG, and a few others (I have tried the screwdriver but do not own one). I think the 4081 is the only mainstream unit I have never even tested. I worked for Vapor4Life for a couple months right after Steve first opened up shop, so I had the pleasure of being able to test a huge array of different e-cigs which he had bought from literally every supplier at the time for testing, although I do (or once did) own most of those listed in my first post.

The 801 so far has been hands down my favorite because it's a great vapor producer, has a perfect draw, and batteries and carts seem to last all day. My second favorite is the LTv9/ E9 that is so hard to come by these days (or non-Kanger disposable cartomizer LoongTotem clone), although I prefer the Kanger made cartridges for those. The draw is tighter on these than the 801 though and they have a history of switch issues plaguing the batteries, and they can tend to run a much higher price than the Kanger made LTv9 clone.

In third place would be the KR808D/ Vapor King/ Kanger made disposable cartomizer device, but it takes third place because there are too many holes in the battery and the draw is much too light (sometimes it even makes a whistling sound as you draw through it). It's difficult to say for sure anymore whether they still have these issues, as I know Vapor4Life has changed a few things, most notably recently added a manual switch option, however I believe everything else is relatively the same as the year old batteries I still have.

I've tried the 510 and 401, but only during product testing and never during long term usage, so I can't wait until these kits come in from David. Ed used to say the 401 brought out the best flavor from the liquid - at one time I was considering opening up a USA EastMall branch (April 2009) and Ed suggested testing liquid flavors and quality with the EM4. That never went too far beyond the talking phase however and ultimately never came to fruition because of the FDA ban concerns at the time, but I finally ordered this EM4 Ed raved about and subsequently made me eager to try :D

I've rambled on long enough :) I could talk about my adventures in e-cig units and business endeavors until the cows come home hahaha. Enjoy your Indulgence and keep us updated on how it's going!

I'm new to the 801 and so far I don't like it. The atty produces good vapor but it leaks worse then a 510. The day I got it I loaded a cart puff a few then sat it down when i came back to it I had mess to clean up. I tried just dripping but it seems half the liquid ends up in the threads I only put 2-3 drops. Now the 901 is killer haven't had any leaks and vapes better then the 510 and has become my favorite atty. I've also found out that I like the whistle tips better then the round tips.

Really? I've only had leak issues when I set my mods upright. For that matter, any of my attys leak. It just so happens that the 801 cart holds a ton of liquid, so there's definitely a good reason as to why there is a larger amount.

Is that what you mean when it leaks? When you set the device upright?

Wow, I think I hear the bugle playing taps on that atty :(
If it's still under warranty, use it!

But, yeah I couldn't give you an appropriate answer as to why it's leaking like that. But, you may be on to something.

The only one that never ever leaks on me no matter what is my 5 hitter quitter, m401/402's. Those are by far my least favorite They only hold 2-3 friggin drops of liquid!! I swear that was the biggest waste of money to date, purchasing 15 of those. I would not be mad at all if each one blew after an hour of use. Until I got my working Indulgence, those atty's stayed in a box. I think they'll be going back in the box soon for a rainy day. lol

Like you I started out with a 401 good ecig but yeah it's week on the amount of liquid it holds and it's no good for dripping. Like you I bought a lot of 401 stuff only to have it sit in the drawer after I bought my 510. The 401 design is what makes it leak proof because the cart slips over the outside of the atty. I just gave all my 401 stuff to a friend who's too cheap to spend a dime to try ecigs.

I'm hoping David has the titanium and the passthroughs soon so I can order them and some more 901 attys.

I also use e juice only from east mall

I buy it at a high strength and mix it down - double it up as such -

I mix up a bottle of 60% VG and 40% pg
and then I dilute my ejuice from East Mall
50 / 50 with this mix--

this brings my nic mg down to about 1/2 of the original,
and the flava is still good,
and the smoke is enormous clouds -- warm and luscious

I use Indulgence with a carty or an 801 atty
and I am in vaping heaven

I have found my Bliss !!!! MM :w00t: :pervy::thumbs:

My very first PV was a DSE801 and it was my only model for a very long time. Never ever leaked. But then I keep the carts on and make sure they are moist but not flooded then drip a few drops onto the atty. However, I do like EM's 801s the best. No comparison in my book. Fog machines. :D
