I purchased 2 of the original Indulgences and had problems too. David is replacing both! Thanks for posting your mini review!:w00t:

In appreciation I just ordered three 801 kits for friends, extra attys, 9 extra batts, the works. His 801's work better than any other with manual batts. Pretty soon I won't know anyone who smokes analogs!

Yes, the upgraded Indulgence is a joy to behold and a pleasure to vape.

We at East Mall are glad that you are all loving it,

yes, there are many hundreds of thousands around the world now who are devotees of the ecig way,

we are doing good to spread this help to all of the smokers --

DI, when the pt becomes available, at what Volts will it work.

Will it be 5v. Because then that makes the indulgence a full 3.7,5v and 6v machine.
No, it will work at 3.7v, 6v and 7.4V only with current configs available. However, you've got to allow for the V-drop since it is not voltage regulated. In my experiance the 6v Indulgence vape the same as 4.8-5V voltage regulated alternative - pretty sweet! It is especially good with HV Atties EM has on sale.

Edit: sorry missed the PT in your question. You are right if it is straight USB than it will be 5v and V-drop will depend on your USB power and atty in use.

Yeah thats what i figured thanks.

I have a puresmoker passthrough and i use it on either the computer usb which is less volts then what i get with the 5v 2000ma powered usb adapter which seems to give the full voltage.

But i noticed some atty's work better at a lower volt and some work like a beast at the higer volt, like the 510 atty at the higher 5 volt is a ploom machine with tons of vapor. I cant wait to try the indulgence at 6v either and i expect the drop in voltage but im sure ill find a sweet spot.

I'm new to the 801 and so far I don't like it. The atty produces good vapor but it leaks worse then a 510. The day I got it I loaded a cart puff a few then sat it down when i came back to it I had mess to clean up. I tried just dripping but it seems half the liquid ends up in the threads I only put 2-3 drops. Now the 901 is killer haven't had any leaks and vapes better then the 510 and has become my favorite atty. I've also found out that I like the whistle tips better then the round tips.

Bob,

Are you filling the carts with a needle? This gives a greater concentration of fluid at the bottom of the cart making it less leaky as well as wicking and vaping for a longer time before refill.

The larger area of wicking materiel in the Eastmall HV atties also helps by absorbing fluid that would otherwise drip. I wish they would make that feature standard on the regular atomizers as well.

Yes, the passthru will be 5v so it will be a full features PV --

with options for 3v. 3.7v, 5v, 6v, 6.7v with the various battery combinations ------ and remember to use the HV attys with the higher voltages -------:)

Yes I fill my carts with a needle and I filled it to about 3/16 from the top. Like I said before I think the atty maybe defective. I'm going to order a new one when David has the titanium Indulgence and pass-throughs in stock.

Hello everyone. I do not like flooding on the forum, but just need an opinion.
I have tried 801HV atty at 6v... Not satisfying for me. I found to really love those attys with 2x3.7v cr123 batteries. The only problem is - gets hot. But much more vapor and throat hit. I do not know why, but cannot get much vapor out of those attys @ 6v =(
Can someone try 2x3v vs 2x3.7v and report back what you think? Thanks!

Can anyone confirm this? I got an Indulgence the other day and can't really notice ant difference between a the stock 3.7v Indulgence, or when using it with the passthru.
Yes, it is 5V. I saw 5.13V for mine (on a power outlet powered usb hub), metered with volt-meter on atomizer connections. Also 4.15V using a fresh 18350 battery.

Have in mind that plugging this passthrough to a pc or laptop can damage your pc / laptop. Also, maybe your pc cannot provide the passthrough with enough power. Use only good quality power outlet powered usb hub for 5V passthroughs.

Maybe I'm expecting too much of a difference between 3.7v and 5v, I dunno.

I've run it on a desktop PC with a 450W PSU -- not a powerhouse, but it should handle 5W -- and also on a USB hub powered from the mains. I don't notice much difference between the passthru or when running the stock 3.7v Indulgence. Maybe I'm expecting too much?

There is an improvement in 5V but there is not a huge difference to a freshly charged 3.7V battery. Check it with an atomizer that doesn't vape too good in 3.7V, it will probably wake up in 5V.

I am a 510 guy, so I don't find the TH I want using 401, 901 or 801, but in 5V I enjoy 801 like it is a 510 on 3.7V. Also, a "sleepy" 510 wakes up in 5V. We are talking for that kind of difference. Big enough to improve your experience, but not huge.

Guy's , keep in mind that the power supply on any machine will have no bearing on what the USB port supplies. As a rule USB ports will supply roughly 5v 500ma draw max , now there are many boards that will allow a voltage change on the USB port via jumper. Do I recommend this ? NO

Here's your pinout:

Can you use a USB passthru on your machine ? sure, but look at it this way, was it designed for it ? NO That bus supplies several things, keep this in mind.

There are many self powered USB hubs that are really inexpensive, there is one on eastmall site, might want to think about getting one.

This is good advice and has been advised by us since day one ----------------

That makes sense, thanks Jumi. It also explains why I'm constantly replacing/charging my Indulgence batts way before they're dead -- I just love that fresh charged, slightly higher voltage vape.

I also just discovered that the 801 is significantly nicer on the passthru too.

Thanks for that info, mud. My passthru has been working fine on the PC and seems to perform about the same as the self powered hubs I have, but you have made me a little scared now o.0 I guess I should just stick to the standalone hubs.

yes, I like a fresh charged batty also, and i replace before it needs it

so I can have that lil extra charge all the time.

I also love the passthru--

especially with the 801 atty.

excellent advice MM,

and this has always been EastMall policy advice for all our passthru PV's since day 1.
