I'm a long-time 1.5 pack/day smoker and the last decade or so has been super-thin ultralights (until they went to $60/carton) and more recently cheaper harsher lights. Never been a huge dragger on smokes, more of a leisurely sipper unless I'm out in weather.
After reading a lot here and watching a lot of comparison videos I decided a manual M4xx might actually work well for me and I ordered a custom M402 kit and a PCC last weekend at MyPVShop. It arrived yesterday, I charged both batts overnight then conditioned like the instructions said. Thanks to this forum I knew to burn off the atty a bit to get rid of primer. I wasn't as thorough as I hoped and my first dip and several drags on it were pretty harsh haha (pure PG too). SO had a coughing fit on those first drags. But I put a cart on when I got to work and after the first few vapes with a cart it started to mellow out.
I can see it's going to take me a while to find what kind of juice I like and whether I am under or over doing myself with nicotine (I expect under). But in the last 2 hours since I arrived at work I've only vaped and not smoked any of the real ones in the other pocket. So far I think the M402 is a pretty good choice for me except for maybe the size of its carts. I ordered some cartos elsewhere as well as some juices I am really excited to try.
I need to get some kind of small pocket case for the stuff that won't fit in the PCC (like the paperclip, a little bottle of juice, spare cart filling, a bit of paper towels... For this first day I brought a larger plastic storage tote to work with me as well as the PCC so I need to trim that down!
So I am liking it so far! I can tell the M4xx would not be the right model for my boss who is a hard & fast smoker and can suck down most of a cigarette seemingly in seconds. But it seems to fit my style pretty well. Thanks for all of the info on this site and all of the helpful people.
