Well, I got hubby and my's kits from Vicki over at Cignot today! WOO HOO!! So Excited...but here's the question...it's carts vs cartomizers....I think Carts are gonna be more of a pain!!....true? not true? And...we haven't gotten our stash of juice yet from Rockstar...order still says pending and it's been so since thursday...I'm a little worried about that....but my other apprehension is actually charging these up and using them when I don't have a supply of juice to prime the atomizers and such...just the 10 prefilled marlb carts that came with the kits...should I try and be patient and wait? or can I still use them with the carts? Also, the instruction manual stated to charge for a full 8hrs even if the charger light is green....true or no?

I am otherwise happy with my first purchase...tho the batteries were shorter than the ones on our disposables, I'm hoping this works out!!!:vapor:

you can use your carts on the attys straight away. it's a good idea to blow out as much of the primer liquid that's on them before you do, however, as it apparently tastes pretty bad. you do this by making a seal around the cart end of the atty with your lips and with a paper towel wrapped around the threaded side, blow into the atty hard. make sure you wipe the threads of really well afterward before you screw it into the battery. plug in your cart, let it wick for a few mins, and start vaping.

re batteries - they are shipped (and should always be stored) with about a 50% charge. this is a general rule for rechargeable batteries as it helps prolong shelf life. all the same, if you ever find yourself storing your ecigs (or any battery for that matter) you should store it with a 50% charge. they should always receive a good, full charge before use anyway as it does help strengthen the battery.

Carts vs. Cartomizers... eh, it really all depends, for me. Let me explain... If I have to do something that requires my undivided attention, ie: driving, I use cartomizers. I also tend to use them while I'm at work, it makes it really easy to sneak off to the bathroom for a quick puff or 12. Cartomizers hold FAR more juice than cartridges, unless you get large capacity cartridges.

If I am am home, sitting down reading or watching a movie, I tend to drip a lot. For me, dripping keeps the flavor fresh and each puff more robust. I can even mix different liquids, while dripping, to test out which flavors work well together. For example, right now I've been combining a gourmet vanilla with a cappucino and adding a few drops of a 24mg camel on top, for good measure. It's amazing what kinds of flavors you can come up with.

Now, if your manual says charge a full 8 hrs. then I would recommend doing it. Reason being is this, if you have to call, email or any other form of communication, with your supplier, the first question they will ask is "did you follow the directions?" In my experience being able to say yes, and THEN explaining the problem has always worked in my favor. Being a PC tech/engineer myself I cannot begin to explain the depth of my utter disdain for people who can't follow simple printed directions and then call me to yell and stomp their feet. It would be like calling a car dealership and screaming at them because your car won't start and YOU didn't put gas in it.

If you find that "priming" your carts is an absolute must,(I am pretty sure a LOT of people would be fairly mad if these units popped the attys due to lack of initial priming) I can suggest this method, although you will use up a cart in the process. Get a pair of latex gloves (IMPORTANT, getting juice all over your hands, you WILL absorb the nicotine through your skin and you could have some pretty interesting effects.) take the filler material out of 1 cartridge, and squeeze the juice out and onto the atty wick. Now, I really think this is a bit excessive and probably not needed.

Relax, the hard part is over, You've made the decision to move over to the vapor side so just take it easy and make the best of it. It really is a ton of fun and this place, ECF, is like walking into a very large room of old friends who will help you on your journey.

You can blow the carts out as in THR's post above, then put one of the carts on the atty while the battery is charging. It should wick by the time the batteries are charged. Using carts doesn't give much mileage before topping off so ten aren't going to last very long. Cartos hold a lot more juice. At the first sign of a flavor change or reduction in vapor I refill. Othewise you may get a burnt taste that has hoplessly stained our first attys.
BTW, you picked an excellent supplier. I've always gotten outstanding service from Cignot.

Thanks for the advice guys! Steel you have such a great write up! And Wuzznt, I appreciate the idea of smart carts too! Luckily I've found that a local convenience store carries cartomizers for another brand and they also fit my 510 batteries as well, so until my juice gets here or until I have the paycheck to invest in some cartomizers if I have to I can buy carts from them...only problem is the fact you can't just refill a prefilled cartomizer with another flavor of juice without possibly getting some super funky flavor that may not be good to vape....

Don't toss out the pre-filled cartos once they have been used up. It is possible to clean them out for refilling or you can pop the top off, pull out the filler material and drip on the atomizer that is inside. Works like a champ! and since I'm on an extremely limited budget my attitude is use it till it breaks. I can't stand the idea of actually tossing away something that still functions. I've actually been able to rid previous flavors with baking soda and apple cider vinegar.

You'll get the hang of it in no time. Once you have your supplies you'll find what works best for you. No 2 vaperites are the same. :)
