Yeah, ok so I'm new

3 hours in the forum and this is my first post. I did get a pic up though LOL. And joined the Ga group I think. I need 70 post why????

So today is day 7 icky cig free. can't believe I had not started vaping sooner. Dropped an unlit cig to open the pack that arrived in the mail 2 days after I order it. And have not looked back. Not even a drag. yeah me.....

2 months of net research and questions everywhere I settled on the altsmokes site (not endorsing, just saying) I like the ego (A 510 something or another) I got from them but feel free to offer up other alternatives. I'm vaping a PG/VG mix and find 16-18 mg of nic to be the best for me.
Smoked the "analog cigarette" for almost 20ys....

I think I'm doing well I have not over juiced my Cartomizer yet.
I'm hoping to get a week out of each as I have read.

I don't want a cig, I walked outside a shop today and was like yuck what was that smell only to realize it was the smokers section we all were put in so lone ago.
Yuck I must have been one nasty smelling dragon lady, to have smelled like that...

Wow let me post the positive things I've noticed.
I smell everything.
I taste everything, but eat less...
I wake happy to meet the day, before I have had my coffee. (big change up for me trust me)
I can breath, one week in and I can breath.
My skin is getting softer it's sill firm but the feel of it is like rose petals. No one told me to expect that perk.
I hit the vape less then I smoked a cig.
I went on a bike ride with the kidso and I kept up with them, for a whole hour.
Betting a 3-10 mil hike will go a lot smother this year

My fear though.....
I live in the mountains of north Ga (moved here from DC) and well the ppl here are not too kind to new technology. Don't want to learn don't want to see a change....
I'm afraid to "vape" in my car or even in my yard. waiting for some idiot to think I'm on drugs.
waiting on that idiot to turn out to be a cop pulling me over just to ask questions....

I can't wait till the day I can walk into a store in these lil hick woods and vape away...
then I'll feel free in my car...

I just received this V2 cig with its atomizer carts etc, and each one = pack. please explain so padawan can learn.. thanks!!

Welcome and congrats! I also tend to hide my PV when vaping in public or in the car. Wasn't so bad with a cigarette-ish looking models, but a box mod with a MAP tank on it looks pretty odd to outsiders. Normally I carry a few ECF and vendor business cards in my wallet, in hopes of convincing any police officers that I am, in fact, not on drugs or holding a bomb detonator.

Seriously, and they want to ban this? Every nine minutes someone dies due to regular smokes (excluding ........., of course), and from what I hear, every nine minutes someone quits regular smokes with a nicotine vaporizer.

You know, when I first started vaping I felt like I was the only one for thousands of miles who vaped. I had some of the same fears you have, Adrena, about folks thinking there was something strange about what I was doing. I've discovered that I really didn't have anything to fear. Most folks don't seem to pay any attention to what I'm doing if I vape in public. My friends and family are thrilled that I've made a healthier life choice. I've even discovered that there are actually a lot of folks in my area that vape. In fact, one of the major suppliers is nearby! Who would have thought!

I'm sure you will make similar discoveries in your vaping adventure.

If your worried about the fuzz, print out one of the fact sheets in the "useful pdfs" section of the forum and throw it in the glove box just in case. Your supplier may even have business cards with the facts on the back, 2 of mine do and they are usually more than happy to give some extras out.

Hi! I'm from North Ga. too. (Chicago transplant) I've shown mine to several people and they thought it was pretty awesome! You might be surprised by people's reactions.

lots of time variants out there. goggle cartomizer life span that way you can read all the stuff out there instead of just what I hand you . I''m talking aboutthe Cartomizer mind you not the 2 piece unit atomizer and cart. The carts that came with my starter kit are all plastic, I don't see those lasting as long. I made a list of things I wanted in an e cig then marked off the thing I could live with out (like looking just like I cig or a lit tip) One thing I know, I wanted a 2 piece (batt and Cartomizer) over the 3 piece (batt,cart, atomizer). I am the type that would never get those two units put back together correctly, honestly. Good luck to you that is truly an awesome journey..

Ha thanks for the card advice, I had 3 sent to me with my order. Think I'll carry those around with my detonator as well... lol

I hope so, tigerlily thank you for the warm welcome. I just may be the first in these woods to vape, but it would be fun to be proven wrong. I have been know to be a trend setter catching ppl here up to the real world. I'll get all my hippie friends on the stuff in no time lol There are some meets in ATL, I may get to one of those in do time. For now I think I'll enjoy yall's company....
