Reggae needs a long steep no matter the mix. It is indeed hard to describe but I found that halfway through a 3 ml tank it really starts to grow on you. The ACV helps with the grassy or pine taste that's prevalent when first mixed but steeping does the trick after about a month. As always YMMV.
