You'll eventually want the Mega cylinder atty to go with that ...

It you want an eGo class starter kit, this is as cheap as I've found stateside:

eGo for $38 w/free drip tip.

EGO | Amajn's E-cigs

But, ya gotta use the discount code. . . ECF10

Cheers,
otrpu

I ordered my drip tip from him and when I had a question after ordering, he told me that he threw in another drip tip in the package for me. That was a very nice thing for him to do. :) Meanwhile, the price on the kit is truly Amajn!

If you are starting out and smoked 2 packs or more a day of cigarettes, please consider an ecig with a larger battery. I just received the Riva, but there is also the EGO and similar clones out there.

I think a minor correction is in order here, I believe, (tell me if im wrong) the Original is the Joye Ego, all others including the Riva are the clones, not that they arent equally well performing e-cigs, but for the record the "Authentic" belongs to Joyetech!

Got my EGO today! Can't sing it's praises enough!

Wish I could have read the first post when i made my leap into e-cigs... wasted about $300 on junk products and then I found ECF (which i cant thank enough for all the amazing help I have gotten here)! Bought a 510 thinking I needed something that "looked like an analog" then after about week 3 analog free I began to hate my 510! changing batteries every 45 mins got terribly annyoing... So I jumped on the EGO and will never look back!

Morale of the story! Get an EGO, stock up on supplies (juice, atty's, other parts and chargers, get a pasthrough for home use) and keep reading and posting on ECF the folks here are amazing and friendly and will steer you in the right direction... Still regret that I didn't find this place sooner because I love it here!

EnJoy your new Ego! You will not disappointed at all! Later on, you might want to get a larger Ego battery. My 900mah battery gives me about 7 hours between charge time. It's longer but not wider than the regular Ego battery and is comfortable. :)

Your advice about stocking up is excellent. I couldn't sit comfortably at home unless I had extra cigarettes on hand, just in case (of anything happening) and have carried that on with my vaping gear.

Since I originally posted this thread close to a month ago, I keep reading advice to newbies about what kit they should get, and only once in a blue moon does anyone ask them how many cigarettes a day did they smoke. And the newbies, so already entranced with the concept of ecigs and consumerism eagerly follow the consensus, when in regard to the consensus, they might not be immediately steered to the correct model. This observation doesn't just take into account the heavy smoker but also includes the amount of times where I have seen the light (1/2-1 PAD) smoker being steered to Egos/Rivas/Mods/ etc, when it really isn't necessary.

I cannot blame those at all who are recommending what they have found as their own ecig Shangri La being the solution to the newbies quest, as they want others to find their own eCig bliss with what they themselves have. The problem is, this ECig Universe is not a one size fits all.

Got ahold of a pair of 4081's with auto batteries, not bad. Then moved on to a blu. Not horrible but not for me (batteries activate on Harleys). Went on to 510's with manual batteries, much better (at this point I had gotten completely off analogs). Tried a pair of 650mah eGo's, better still. Then made myself a cheap 8 buck box mod from MadVapes for fun. Been using this straight since I built it. It's not better but I just like it because I made it...LOL. I guess I could say it's better only that it uses a 900mah battery that's replaceable for less than 5 bucks. It's ugly but it works.

I may have spent more than I had to but I regret nothing. You just can't put a price on getting your health back.

Now that I am way over the need to have an PV that looks like an analog, perhaps one day I'll get a mod.

As to the money, one can recoup one's health without having to go on the pricey path that I did. That's why I started this thread in the first place.

Great advice, I've been trying to make my habit work with a collection of smaller kr808 batteries and cartomizers and it's less convenient than I would like. Any suggestions on making the 30 count of "2E r4" (second edition revision 4) blank cartos I am waiting for to arrive from overseas work with a better power supply than the kr808 batteries I've been using? I've been thinking about a mod, but that's a bit more cash than I want to toss out there. They seem to be anywhere from $70-$150.

Hi N-Dub!

I'm presently vaping with a 510xl ce2 r4 right now. Problem is that it is 2.5ohms and not wicking as well as I want it to. I have to wait till a supplier gets the 510s in at 3ohms. Otherwise, it isn't leaking, vaper production is good and it is going a long time for me between refills. :) Yeah!!!!

As to your blank cartos that are coming, I've read that some people are are putting adapters on their 510 threads...ie eGos so they can use the KR808 cartos. I believe those cartos are coming in at around 3ohms. :) So your kr808 wouldn't go to waste!

Here is as I understand it to be, a historic ECF thread! About the last 100 pages discusses the coming of and arrival of the r4s with some reviews of the new r4s. Go about a week back or so to start reading them.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...13951-e2-cartomizer-technical-discussion.html

BTW....Who knows if I'll want a mod sometime in the distant future? Right now my vaping needs are almost met (still want a 3hm ce2r4) and I'm content with the recharge time of the Rivas and 900mah eGo. :)

Best of luck! :)

My feelings exactly, that's why I just ordered something other than the 510.

The other day on another thread in General Discussion, MistressNomad hit the nail on the head. Paraphrasing...she said that people tend to recommend what they want as opposed to what others really need.

This is an excellent post! My boyfriend and I got our eGo's four days ago and we absolutely love them! I also have a 510 PT, which is perfect for me since I'm in front of my computer most of the time.

Thank you! Great choices! Since I've had my Rivas, my passthrough is on standby but it's comforting to know it's there!

Happy vaping!
