OMG, how are you doing? My mom had an aortic aneurysm and just had surgery on one behind her knee. I just had an ultrasound because supposedly they're hereditary. Her sister had one also.

I had an Aortic Aneurysm as well . 4th of July made 2 yrs . Mine was 3cm from my heart down to the break in my legs . It left me with severe nerve damage from the waist down . Anything that touches my skin hurts me to no end . Wearing clothes , socks , shoes , taking baths , sitting , laying down & using the bathroom is the worst . I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. Your mom is very lucky to have survived it . Aortic aneurysms have a 85% fatality . And very few make it more than a year afterwards . Docs told me I had 6 months or a year at best ..... fooled their asses .... lol

Agree Mistaree, I started with a 510, then the eGo, then the Provari, which is great, but then wanted to try a juice fed adn then the Ali'i, supurb! Then the Reo Mini and the Reo Grand, all depends on the user and what works for them! Am I done with buying I hope so! Then again, I have heard about the elcipse!!!??!!

Ahh Yes ! The Eclipse , don't know about you but I'm willing to vape the video if I could lol

If you don't care much for looks and the feel...I recommend the Maxi Roughstack from madvapes to any heavy smoker. I quit instantly after it arrived. After some research on ECF and reading other reviews I found 6volt vaping with SmokTech Dual Coil Cartomizers are the perfect fit for me. Once you find your taste in juice your ready to rock. That said..I have never tried any other ecigs or mods, and I probably never will. Closest thing to smoking IMHO. I often let my smoking friends a try at it in attempt to get them to quit, and I always get the same reaction...it's that "surprised" face first..then the exhale..then "where can I get one?"

It sounds like shoes! Pumps, sandals, flip-flops, sneakers, flats, heels, wedges, stilettos, kitten heels, boots, slippers, oxfords, Birkenstocks...

There's a time, a place, a foot, and a preference for all kinds. And even if you have your faves, and even if you have them all in every color you love, there's always a cool new one that catches your eye.

Until PV's are as easily available in stores as shoes, so people can try them on for size, it will likely be a matter of trial and error for all new vapers until they find the right fit. But we spent a ton of money buying cigarettes, and you do break even on the upfront costs eventually, and then start saving some real money.

OK, so sneakers and boots I understand, but what are the rest of those things, and do you actually put them on your feet??

Yes, yes, you most certainly do put them on your feet, in all kinds of colors. Especially if you are a girl with a shoe fetish. Which, clearly, you are not!

 hehe agreed... my brother and I started out with a god-awful smoke51 trio (lol just remembered the name)... for me it lasted, using it a few days and still haven't touched a cig since 10/24/2010...untill recently, my brother was still using his... not long ago, after finding out one of my neighbors is big into vaping, my brother and I was able to check out and try a few different mods, both of us settling and ordering the Roughstack V2...hell, both of us had no idea how big 'vaping' actually was until then....like the name implies, it's rough looking, sturdy, easy to replace/upgrade parts...and vapes well for a 3.7 mod, I don't regret the choice, love the vapor, throat hit, the flavor from my e-juices... Now I'm thinking of the Roughstack max as well, for more voltage choices :)

Those of us that recommend a Riva/Ego to new people get yelled at by the KR808 users.

There's nothing wrong with them or the 510. But if you were a heavy or long time smoker I think an ego or mod would be the way to go.

I love my KR808! I bought an IGo because it's the Ego counterpart and I thought that I'd see what all the fuss was about. It's not that I don't like it, but it's not nearly as good in the taste and throat hit department as my KR808 XL manual batteries. That's why I recommend the KR808 to newbies.

My next adventure will be the Reo...

I'm not a KR808 user and actually still have my 51 trio with a 510 kit on the way. I have done some chastising before on the avalanche of EGO/ Riva recommendations having nothing to do with the quality or suitability of the unit. I've never vaped one so I cannot comment on that.

I did hold one in my hand and I can tell you if that was my only option I would still be using analogs. I may still end up with one as I now see the utility but for me an many others smoking is more that just the inhalation experience and at least initially I needed my pv to feel close to a cigarette in my hand. Even when I do get an Ego (likely echo as I do prefer the auto still) I will continue to use and enjoy the 510 mini's and possibly the KR808's if I give them a try and like them better just because I like the feel of the scissor grip in my fingers while smoking / vaping.

But that is just me. The main reason I critiqued the get an Ego / Riva or anything else including those who swear by the KR808's and 510 that I like is they ofter don't even read the OP's post or care about their wants. It's not that I think there are paid shill hawking something it's that people seem to want to proselytize their preference regardless of what the OP is asking for. /RANT

Having said that I am not calling out all EGO/ Riva, insert brand x here users I am only trying to urge people to read and pay attention before making recommendations. And if anyone catches me doing it I hope I will be called out as well.

Edit: I was not trying to put you in this category personally Sweedishfish even though I quoted you. In fact I would say the opposite would be true of you but the yelled at part of the comment was what I was addressing.

The problem in your "theory" are several fold. First, you are assuming that a person who has never vaped really understands the differences and limitations of different PV's and how they will never be just like an analog. Of course they are going to say they want one the looks like what they have been using for years. If look/feel was the only important requirement, you could recommend buying a "fake" cigarettes that are the exact size and shape of a cigarette so you can have that "feel in the hand" and appearance experience. You might as well recommend one of these.

Second, people who recommend the tiny battery models, never tell the poor new person that these devices are not close to the "inhaled feel" of a cigarette and never will be.

Third, if you told a new person that they could have the "in the hand look" of a cigarette or the "inhaled feel" of a cigarette but not both and ask them to choose, I feel confident the vast majority would opt for the "inhaled feel" of the real thing.

Fourth, people who recommend the tiny battery models also never tell the new person that at best, under average to heavy vaping, they will only get maybe an hour of use out of those tiny batteries.

And last, you never take into account, when advising a new person, what the statistical evidence shows for those who tried both type of PV's, what the vast majority end up using - a better battery model. It makes more sense to not just blindly "listen" to what a new person with no experience think they want, but instead look at the experience of the vast majority and try to save the new person both frustration and money. They can always "downgrade" although we know that very few ever do that.
