You're always very welcome everyoneelsehas...one day I know you'll be doing the same for others and it's a GREAT feeling
In the beginning it's not unusual to be vaping "non stop" because it takes about 2 weeks for the non nicotine addictive chems to leave the body. The good news- your lung cilia that are coated in tar and paralyzed (fact) from the tobacco chems begin a rebirth withing 48 hrs.
As for juice...Generally you can expect to use 3-5 ml per day- sometimes less and sometimes more. I know you can buy flavored zero nicotine juice in Australia so maybe down the road consider buying some flavorless nic juice to add to these flavors.
Also a good idea to socialize with other Australian Vapers not only for support but in case you need some immediate help.
Worst case scenario it sounds like you're well on your way and if there's a little slip it's no big deal. Just remember to drink lots of water:
PG and VG are humectants...
A humectant is a substance used primarily in foods and cosmetic products to help retain moisture. These substances are called hygroscopic, which means that they are able to absorb ambient water. These hygroscopic compounds posses a chemical structure that attracts water from the atmosphere and binds it to various sites along the molecule.

When we inhale PG/ VG it "traps" the moisture in our mouth, throat and nasal area and thus the vapor. The real problem arises when the body is dehydrated and begins "stealing" moisture from other parts of the body to keep key organs hydrated. Add to that more than 3 cups of java or caffeine based soda drinks and severe dehydration can occur.
I had a convert that didn't believe vaping was dehydrating. I showed him his fingernails- there were vertical rails on them. Told him this was a sign of serious dehydration. His Dr. agreed. He began drinking water/ hydrating and within a couple of months his fingernails returned to normal...he's now a believer. Ask any chemist and they will tell you the same. I drink 2+ liters of water per day and no more than 3 cups Java per day.

Wishing You the Very Best of Luck My Good Friend.

Brilliant! Thanks again Vapoor eyes er! Great tips! Have added those to my list of favourites. I think I have everything I need for now. Ordered some additional batteries including the Minis, some more clearomizers etc. And my juice just arrived so have finally started vaping! :D :D :D

Actually, I have one more question (please) with regard to juice ... how much juice would you say is enough? I'm worried I'll find myself in a situation where I haven't planned ahead and I run out while waiting for a re-order and then resort to analogues out of desperation ..

What is the demand for e cigarettes in Australia? Curious as to if it is taking off like it is here in North America or not. Great to hear your trying to quit.

It's illegal to sell nicotine in Australia so this has slowed the acceptance of vaping generally. It's currently rare to meet other vapers in the wild, but a lot more people at least know what it is now. There's still plenty that look at you like you are from another planet if you try to explain it though.

On top of this most state Health departments have bought into the FDA and WHO anti vaping propaganda, so vaping has had some really bad press. Typically, TV programmes like current affairs and the news have gone with the sensationalist anti vaping line because obviously sensationalism sells advertising, harm reduction does not.

It's only recently that some more balanced articles have been written so we're kind of hoping that common sense will prevail in the end. It would be a public health disaster if it was made less available to us than it was now, but the situation could be better. There's currently a study underway at the Queensland University which will take some time, but we're looking forward to seeing some results next year and that it is a balanced approach to evaluating the efficacy of second generation e-cigs. Similar studies done in Australia and NZ have been short term, used (we think) first generation cigalike devices, and showed success rates no better then NRT. We're hoping the new study avoids the flawed methodology and biased evaluation of results that we've been seeing.

I would say that most people here who try vaping are successful at giving up smoking simply because it takes a fair amount of dedication to research and obtain nicotine, so only someone highly motivated to give up smoking is likely to jump through the hoops required to obtain nicotine products. We have our own forum like ECF - the Aussie Vapers Forum, and a lot of information specific to our situation is exchanged there.

Indeed - it's a silly law when you can't sell nicotine legally in Australia, but totally fine if you import a litre from overseas.

Totally agree with this - it will help if you want to quit in the first place.

Thanks Rat2chat2! Wishing you luck too! I'll definitely check out Fasttech as well. I think I have everything I need for now :D. You should definitely come to Australia! Why won't you fly if you don't mind me asking? We could swap for a week, I'd love to visit the US one day. Australia's great ... but just a bit too far away from the rest of the world.

I would just be to scared I reckon. I hardly want to leave my recliner much less see the world. That's why I google. heehee :)
