Yet another question for the techies...

I recently ordered a couple of new auto shorty batts, and hubby brought to my attention that one of them have a smaller hole in the center post and the draw is much harder. He also said that one of the batts that I ordered for his co-worker is the same way.

These have both been purchased within the last few months. Has this changed recently, or is it just hit or miss? Two of the six that I've purchased have the smaller hole.

It's pretty much hit or miss on the regular style autos Ms. Rappel. I've had a few that were equal to the king diamond and stealth size holes, others that were much smaller. Oddly enough the bargin bin batts I've gotten all have had the larger ones.... Hope this helps.

Hey Rappel,

These are the difference between the older models and the more newer versions as of 3-4 months ago. I actually show the difference between these 2 models in my post adjustment video. There is a way to improve the draw and make it a little easier.

Take a thick sewing needle or a finish nail and oval out one of the holes under the threads. You don't want to or need to do all of them....1 will give you the added ease of draw you need.

Are the vent holes around the threading cleaned and cleared properly and the draw is still hard after? all of my current batteries have the same centerpost you mention. My older batteries dont, but they are "old" lol

You guys are so smart!
I've cleaned the batts and cleared out the draw-holes, thinking that this might be an issue, but that wasn't it. There's just a difference between the draw on the batts.

Snow, If I could, I'd give you a great big hug! I used a jewlers file and enlarged each of the holes just a touch. I couldn't do just one, 'cause I'm ocpd, and that would bug me every time he used the battery...knowing tat one hole was a smidge bigger than the rest would drive me bonkers. After that I cleaned it up and handed it to him and he was all smiles. It did the trick wonderfully. I now look like the absolute genius that you are. Thanks a million for your assistance!
