I recently ordered a couple of new auto shorty batts, and hubby brought to my attention that one of them have a smaller hole in the center post and the draw is much harder. He also said that one of the batts that I ordered for his co-worker is the same way.

These have both been purchased within the last few months. Has this changed recently, or is it just hit or miss? Two of the six that I've purchased have the smaller hole.

Thanks in advance. :)

Hey Rappel,

These are the difference between the older models and the more newer versions as of 3-4 months ago. I actually show the difference between these 2 models in my post adjustment video. There is a way to improve the draw and make it a little easier.

Take a thick sewing needle or a finish nail and oval out one of the holes under the threads. You don't want to or need to do all of them....1 will give you the added ease of draw you need.

Hope this helps......:2cool:

Snow, If I could, I'd give you a great big hug! I used a jewlers file and enlarged each of the holes just a touch. I couldn't do just one, 'cause I'm ocpd, and that would bug me every time he used the battery...knowing tat one hole was a smidge bigger than the rest would drive me bonkers. After that I cleaned it up and handed it to him and he was all smiles. It did the trick wonderfully. I now look like the absolute genius that you are. Thanks a million for your assistance! :)
