Just got my pass-through for my SE gold and hooked it up to the computer with my old atomizer took a nice puff then put it on the desk to get a glass of water. When I came back and picked it up it was so hot it burned my hand and I looked closer the plastic cart was melting! I jerked it out of the pc and let it cool. Now (15 mins later)I am using it with the new atomizer and it is working fine but I am nervous. What do you think caused it? Old addy? Think it is safe? I do know I wont be leaving it plugged in unattended.

It isn't ever a good idea to plug a passthrough into your computer!
May be the power output on your computer's USB is too high? Hope someone can chime in about that.
I will only use a usb plug on a power strip with my passthroughs (both the China passthroughs and the PureSmoker passthroughs).
I'd also keep an eye on that if you are still going to use it and unplug it when away from it. Better safe than sorry. Perhaps contact SE. They may know of product issues/recalls for them?
