I am stoked! Never thought if make it this far! Lots of trial and error, I got some good juice from evapers today and it has made a huge difference, however I think I'm gonna have to go down in strength as the flavor is so good I just wanna vape constantly lol! I started experimenting with different cart mods, mainly the fluval method. Except using different filter pads as I have a fish tank and lots of different filter materials laying around, this seems to be working better and the space between my atty and cartridge seems to leak less! I even gave away the pack of analogs I've been carrying around in my purse for a week to a homeless guy picking up butts from the street today! He looked at me in disbelief and ran away fast before I could change my mind lol! Probably made his day ;) hell would have made my day a week ago if someone would've given me a free pack!

I do have a question, prob a newbie question so please be patient lol! I bought 30 ml of 28 mg butter rum, tastes so good (reminds me of lifesavers from when I was a kid) but I find myself wanting it more, so its too strong to vape as much as I want to! How do I break it down to a lighter mg and if I cut it down somehow will it loose much of its flavour?

Thanks :)

Grats on your milestone :) i gets easier as time goes by.

You were lucky to find a flavour you enjoyed first time around. Yes you will loose flavour if you cut down your liquid. The forum as a good do it yourself section for rolling your own. Depending on how low you want to go with the nic content. Unless you are feeling ill effects with the 28mg, I wouldn't worry about it for the time being as it is perfectly normal to vape more heavily in the beginning. The absorption rate of nicotine is much slower with vaping (no ammonia in the liquid amongst other things) compared to analogs, and you are still going through withdrawals. You will find your happy spot, although 28mg is a little on the high side. As time goes by you will find yourself vaping less.

There is a certain amount of restraint necessary as well, especially if you are vaping with the intent of quitting nicotine/smoking altogether.

Congrats for sure !!!

I carried one cigarette with me in the bottom of my bag for almost two months in fear of having a break down and needing a dirty smoke. As switched mentioned, it will get soooooo much easier as time goes on, you wil get to the point (very soon) where cigarettes become disgusting and you`ll never look back.

I quit smoking the forst day I got my 510 from happyvaper and its been almost 8 months since :)

Peace!

Neon.

Congrats on your milestone.
I have not been able to get rid on my cigarettes yet but getting very close. I have smoked close to half a century but the vaping sure is alot better.I have been at this for 3 weeks and smoke 4 a day which in my mind is terrific. That is about 19 per day that I am not smoking.
I like the idea of giving your cigs to a homeless guy...do yu think they would take menthol cigs? Most of the time when people used to ask for a cig and I would say it was menthol they would just move on.

Thanks for the support everyone!

I went with a liquid (butter rum) that had happy memories from childhood lol! I remember getting up christmas morning and finding butter rum lifesavers in my stocking, I would eat all mine in a matter of minutes while my sister managed to keep hers for several days!

I don't really care if I quit vaping altogather as I have now eliminated all the things I hated about smoking! I just find that the new juice is so good I want to vape it more, however after more than a few minutes I get a headache from the nicotine :( I will just have to order a lower nic level I guess for my special flavours lol!

I only bought my kit as a way to "smoke" at work(I never had any intentions of quitting analogs), I used to get in trouble a lot by sneaking out to smoke when I needed my fix, The nic gum didn't work, the patches gave me headaches etc. However the day I opened my kit I was so excited to give it a try that before I knew it the whole day had gone by and I hadn't had an analog. I then realized maybe I could do this :) It hasn't all been super easy and I have had hard times like after meals, first thing in the morning and in the late evenings!

So far things that have helped are:
-looking at vaping as changing brands
-giving the pv a chance to soothe my cravings first before obsessing about an analog, telling myself that if I'm still craving after vaping for awhile I can always have an analog (this seems to work well for me)
-I used to smoke outside so when I am craving really bad I take it outside with me and sit on the front step like I used to, I think this is purely psycological and I realize I just need a break from the kids lol!

I smoked a pad for 17 years and never thought it would be possible to switch to vaping, over the years I have tried many different quit methods but nothing worked for more than a day or 2, the last time I tried to quit I had so much anxiety that my doctor put me on an anti-anxiety med!
I'm sure a homeless guy would take menthol, free is free right? Or just keep them on you till you run into another person who smokes menthol, I'm sure that they would appreciate the break:)

Good luck to others that are just starting and thanks to the more experienced for all the wonderful info you share :)

Just remember that if you don't give up cigarettes the first day, that's totally normal. You've smoked for years, and this, is essentially, a new habit.

Once you find the right equipment, the right strength and the right juice, it just happens.

Have fun with vaping, and think of it as such. It's a new lease.

Vape on.

:)

Congrats on your milestone!!

I've found the same thing with liquids that taste REALLY good, order them in a lower mg strength next time...easier to do than stop chain-vaping your PV at the beginning!!
