The only yogurt I have used is FW. It is "okay", but missed some of the subtle tang that eaten yogurt has. To me, it is just more of a straight heavy cream at 3-5% in any recipe. I have read good things about Capella's Greek Yogurt, but have yet to try it. Definitely interested in watching this thread develop...

So I finally made up a Peach Yogurt using the recommended LB percentages and it came out OK but is lacking the Heavy Yogurt taste like @river.guy mentioned. I Did only give it a short aging time so far so I will see after time progresses. I am toying with the idea of adding some vanilla or cream to maybe bring out the yogurt flavor or possible cut the peach percentage. Definitely not wasted but maybe some additional yogurt flavoring. I am thinking I should have made a plain yogurt instead of right to a fruit yogurt.

@kiba

Have you ever used the Liquid Barn flavoring? I use cream for things like Peaches or Strawberry and Cream which is way different in my opinion than Peach Yogurt.
Yeah, I think a freind of mine has used it in a few recipes, don't have it myself all I have are the 2 capellas ones, which are the least offensive tasting imo.

Normally I'd rather use a heavy cream like Bavarian/vienna cream with something like malted milk to make it taste more yogurt-ey rather than have it taste like old cheese.

It's not like you can't go back and read what I said.

they all are gonna taste like sour cheese, that's the point. Yogurt is basically fermented milk. the higher your temp/more wattage=more cheese.

If you want something different than that, you're going to have to go with some cream/custard-type base with tfa malted milk.

The taste is subjective as you have heard but I enjoy Yogurt and have many delicious e-liquids with Yogurt. Although your input is appreciated your opinion is noted on how you feel about yogurt. This thread is for Yogurt recipes and ideas for flavors using Yogurt not something different. Ways to enhance yogurt are welcomed.

I gave you one, the base I posted is an easy one that is still heavy but sweet instead sour. They are all going to be that way, most people who like yogurt vapes want that sour note though bc it's what makes yogurt distinct. Most of the commercial yogurt juices I've tried use heavy cream/custard/new york cheesecake and just a low % of yogurt, and then steep it a really long time.

I know how Yogurts taste and I know what I like about them but what do you mean by "base"?

Using creams or custards might be something I would experiment with with but I doubt I would use Cheesecake in a Yogurt recipe. Using a low percentage would also not be the direction I would go with a Yogurt recipe.

A base, cake base, custard base, cream base etc. you figure out your base and then you add the additional flavorings. If you have a base that you know you like you can use it in all similar recipes that use said base. Capellas new york cheesecake is used in a lot of commercial yogurts bc it has that yogurt-tasting note without being too sour, and also sweet/creamy. You can try using a high% of yogurt but I've never seen them used that way successfully.

A juice I whipped up on Sunday:

70/30 VG PG (6mg)
Strawberry Ripe TFA 3%
Banana Cream TFA 2%
Yogurt FW 5%
Cream Fresh FA 1%

Although not bad, it is still missing the subtle yogurt tang. Going to put in a flavor order in the next couple days, focusing on yogurt concentrates. Hopefully, will be able to report back in the next week or 2.

Curious how aging makes your Yogurt turn out @river.guy because as mine ages it is getting better but I will be cutting the Fruit flavor on my next creation. By the way I always enjoy a Strawberry Banana Yogurt!

To be honest, I have had yogurt in my flavor arsenal for a while now, but never messed with it much. My first stab at it was a Peaches and Cream that didn't turn out so well. Thinking it was a tad over flavored. Not unvapable, but not good enough to make again. My second stab at it was the recipe I posted above. Dialed back the % a bit for the fruits and it turned out much better. I also made a Fruit Loops like cereal liquid, using the yogurt as a cream. It turned out okay, but needs more refinement.

To get back to the point of steeping, I don't know. Will have to report back next weekend. Going to let the Fruit Loops and Strawnana Yogurt sit this next week and see what happens to them.
