You do not have to profess REO love (at least, immediately) :)

Now the Woodvil seems to have an issue. On a few occasions it has fired without me pressing the button. I will be pressing the button and when I release my thumb, it continues to fire. It's happened at least 3 times, and the last one I had difficulty getting it to stop and the atty got burning hot. Should I send it back to get fixed?

That is something that you should contact Robert about for sure. Send a PM and see if he has suggestions. Sounds like something in the switch is sticking.

Actually, it may be a bad atty or carto shorting out both mods. Your Mini could have a partially melted firing button, which would explain the firing issues. And the Woodvil definitely sounds like a short. This can occur when the center pin of the atty/carto is overextended and when screwed into the connector (especially when done firmly) the positive center post makes contact with the negative rim. :(

You aren't still using the leaning tower atty are you?

Nope, I have a new atty on the mini and woodvil. I think I'll have to send both of them to Rob to get looked at. Which means I need a temp pv. Anyone know of something relatively cheap that I can use the mini batteries for and just drip on a 510?

Ego batts are inexpensive and work fairly well. Always a good back up in case of Emergency.

Pick up a Riva SE 510 kit from Liberty Flights. $35 and comes with 2 LR attys.

I would highly suggest a Madvapes VV box mod. Works like a champ and goes up to 7V:

So, I have been vaping on my Reo Mini since last week. I had some LR2.0 cartos laying around. I am having a hard time with normal resistance cartos/and attys lately. I have to pull so hard my cheeks are sore at the end of the day. Quite painful actually. Have been vaping a little over 1 year. Have been very happy with my mini. But not so much the LR2.0 cartos. Maybe I should get 1.5 or 1.7 cartos. I am a bit sick of all the cleaning of attys. I tried a 306 too. Not fond of the hot feeling on my lips. (That's one of the things that bugged me about analogs too) Love not messing with carts. I was using a tank system before the Reo. And it is vv, a Provari. I like how small my mini Reo is. It does not provoke the weird looks my Provari with a homemade syringe tank does. lol Two different styles of vaping, IMHO. I smoked analogs for 23 years. I started vaping to slow down my analog intake. Eventually I did not like smoking anymore. Was smoking about 3 a day for months. One day I just quit the logs. That was almost 4 months ago. Loving my expensive mods, long way from my 901, Blu, 510, or Ego T (mr leaks alot). So, do you think I will be happy with a lower resistance? My favorite vape is about 4.2V and I use a diy mix of Sugar Cookie 70pg/30 vg. Thanks for the input! :)

BeadyKate, another Reonaut recently posted she had too hard of a draw on her cartos when using her Reo Mini and putting in the spare 3 mL bottle that came with her Mini fixed the problem. Also, if you squonk too much juice into a carto, the filler will swell, restricting airflow and causing a stiff draw.

The resistance of your cartos shouldn't affect the draw and 70/30 juice should work fine in them.

Congrats on giving up the analogs!

Mudflap,

Thanks for the advice. How do I over squonk? I have been doing the 1 squonk pull on dry carto vape method. I believe that is what I read. Hmm, maybe this noob is doing it wrong. :) Both my bottles and tubes were used. I did buy the Reo off the classies. Do you mean put the other tube on as well? Just wondering. I am still learning my little Reo friend. Thanks Oh, thanks for the congrats! It was totally on accident. Not something chosen. Just happened, cause I could not stand the taste or smell of those logs any longer. :)

Over squonking a carto is simply adding more juice than it should normally hold, faster than you're vaping it. It's easy to do with a Reo. :) If you unscrew it and hold it up to a bright light and look through the bottom, you should be able to see clearly through the center air tube. If you can't see through it, the filler has swollen and cut off that airflow.

The tube shouldn't have to be swapped, but you can run your Mini under hot water from the tap to clean it. While your doing that, you can observe if water is flowing freely through the tube. If it is, that's not your problem. The problem with the bottle had to do with the threading at the top of the bottle. It fit the cap, but imperfectly.

Mudflap,
OIC Now I get it. No, that is not the problem. I guess my lungs just need a deeper hit. :) I will pick up some lower resistance cartos on payday. I cleaned my Reo very well, after it arrived to it's new home. Water flowed very nicely through the tube. I might have over tightened my cap on my bottle. Would that cause a problem?

Possibly! The bottle needs to be screwed snug up against the o-ring inside the cap, but over tightening is bad. :)

:vapor:Oh wow! This is gonna sound crazy. But I just tried a different carto I had. Another brand new one. This was a Madvapes 510 Dual Coil Stainless Cartomizer 3.2 ohm, that is giving me a total resistance of 1.6 ohms. Wow! Rock my socks! It is an awesome vape. Problem for me, is solved. Thanks for your valuable input.:2cool:

Hi, I tried some the 1.7 cartomizers today for the first time and I was amazed at the flavour. I put them on my new 18490's and just blind squonked a couple of times and I don't think I will want to be without them now. I've been using mainly about 2.00 attys and cartos and tried the 1.5 but didn't like them much. I use mainly sweet flavours and probably prefer about the same vape level as you. :)

edit: glad you got the problem sorted :D

Less than a full week with my new reo and it just keeps getting better and better. I must admit, I was overjoyed when she arrived, but a little flummoxed by how to use her correctly. I kept flooding attys or getting dry hits, but the past two days of constant use have been a real joy. I think I am getting the hang of the squonk and this thing seems to be getting better with each passing hour. Could not be happier.
BTW- is it normal to go through a full tank of juice in a 24 hour period?

WOW that is some heavy vaping! With a new REO it is pretty common. Also while learning the squonk it can happen.
The blind squonk is the best method in my book. It is all I do. Never have juice in the drip well that way.
