The Land of Confusion
It is that everyone is SO helpful and giving. For example, I have seen many times where people were wanting to try a flavor that was hard to get - like BWB's Joker. It always seems like someone is willing to say, "Hey, I will send you a ml or two so you can try it." Isn't that awesome? That just doesn't happen in the smoking world. Imagine this:
You: "I would really love to try a Camel Crush."
Response: "Hey, let me mail you a couple to try."
It makes you chuckle just thinking about it. And it is not just that. Anytime you have a question there is always someone willling to lend a hand. I am sure, just like in society, there are a few asses around. However, for the most part it doesn''t seem to be the case - and I am thankful to be a part of such a great group!!!

I was in a need about 6 months ago.. Was running low on juice and had 0 cash to spend on some.. Some VERY generous members here sent me 90ml's worth of juice (I only wanted 30ml, but people insisted, lol) and I was beyond grateful. I've even given away juice for those in need myself now just to pass on the generosity.

Too true, i haven't posted much and haven't even been to the
forum for almost a year until recently. But thanks to all the
help and information i got a year ago i was able to jump right
back into vaping and quit analogs within a day because i had
reliable equipment and the knowledge to use it. There's no way
to thank properly for giving me the tools to do that.
 Thanks everybody

+1 twice. I have been digging through this forum for a couple of weeks now and have read through a lot of old threads and there is a common theme in them. A lot of good people right from the start and I am sure some very good guidance from the founder of the forum. This sets a tone for others to follow, I have seen this before in a few other forums. Start out with respect for others and a helpful heart and it just blooms around that. I am like you very happy to have found this place and even more so to have become a part of it.

When I first started vaping, I was so happy to get to vape indoors. I thought of all the stuff I could do, like vape while watching tv, vape while reading, doing my hw or chilling with friends... I don't watch much tv at all, I mean I turn on the t.v but then I just mute it. For some reason the thing I've been doing most, is just vaping and sitting on ECF. I even stopped using facebook, but I check ECF regularly, way more then I ever used facebook. Even here during class. I don't know how people manage to make the transition away from vaping without this site. 90% ECF, 10% vaping. Without you guys for support, and getting to support new members, vaping wouldn't be half as fun. This forums the whole package :D

Very rarely since I switched from the combustible cigs to the digital cigs have I had a problem that couldn't be solved by the great people here on ECF, or youtube, or the customer service reps of the various retailers. It's great. Fortunately I've been lucky enough not to have an urgent need of batteries, chargers or juice, but if I did I know that there are people that are very helpful and could send ya attys, cartos, juice, even batteries.

The best part is that no matter what your problem may be, someone has undoubtedly experienced it, and maybe even solved it. So all you have to do is ask, and if the right person reads your post, you're golden.

I posted this back in April of 2010, but it still seems relevant today...

You start by posting in the New Members Forum.
You ask what to get because you are so overwhelmed with information.
You are asking stupid questions that everyone has asked since the dawn of time.

You learn though, and nobody beats you up because we've all been there.

Then you get your starter kit.
And now you are posting in the New Members Forum.
But your posts have changed, and now you want help with the issues you face.

Over time, you get answers, you try things, and you learn.
Now you think you know a lot, even though you really don't, but that's not your fault.

So maybe you start to post replies in the New Members Forum to help others.
Perhaps your information is valid and useful, but perhaps not.
Maybe it only applies to you in your particular situation.

Anyway, eventually, you move out of the New Members Forum.
You explore the wider world of e-cigarette-forum.com and many emotions hit you at once.

You want to contribute.
You want to learn even more.
You want a lanyard and an E-Dobbit and you want to try some Tasty Vapor juice.

Then you realize you are pretty much screwed because there is no end.

This goes on for quite a while, until you find your sweet spot.
And we all find our sweet spot, no matter how long it takes.

Then you move to some of the more esoteric forums.
And where you move depends on your personality.

Do you go to the modders forums?
Do you go to the DIY juice forums?
Do you go to the campaigning forums?

And then you stumble into the Outside forum.
And you get lost in the inevitable struggle of good and evil.
And then you leave the forums in disgust.
:D

In the end, we all contribute to the goal, and the goal is the most important thing.
And that goal is doing what we can, for who we can, when we can.

And it doesn't matter where you do that.
Just so long as you do that.

Even if it isn't even on these forums, but just with those that surround you in your daily life.

I NOW RETURN YOU TO YOU REGULARLY SCHEDULED HARP MUSIC.

Besides the great people on this forum, there are great Moderators. They really make sure everyone plays nice. If they don't play nice, they go home, period. I post on several forums on various subjects that posts turn into flame wars, the Mods really keep that from happening here.

This is a very friendly forum. It's us against the cancer sticks. Everyone helps everyone kick the analog's .....
