These are the only pics I could get right now.....When it's back in my hands I'll take some better ones.
I didn't do it....Cuseguy did it for me. And I think it was blasted. He didn't give me the details on how he achieved the finish or how he did it without messing with the engraving. When I get it back, I'll put the brass back on and get some better pics.
Very nice Strpr! Most of us are drawn to the shiny aspect but as you say, that's the beuty of the GG - Making it your own! Excellent work to preserve the engraving too. I am guessing some sort of media blast at relatively low velocity. 
it might be a blasted ggts but its still a ggts never the less i have thought about having mine done i just don't know anyone around here that will do a great job like yours looks to be well done ...props its a great look for the ggts...Although I love The GG and really appreciate the work that goes into it....I could resist. I really like it and would be interested in how it was done. In fact I would like to do one of mine that way as my everyday GGTS/UFS.
Sandblasted?...or using some form of media via compressed air; I think. I love the way it looks. Awesome job.
looks more like glass beads blasting compare to sandblasting... very nice matt finish
I think once it gets back to me and assembled with the brass the final product will look even better.
.....probably so; maybe walnut shells? They produce a really smooth finish
