You pick my next mod. Private V2 clone or M16 clone?

I'm interested in both of these clones and will allow the ecf community to pick my next mod for me. Which one would you choose and why?

I personally got myself a M16 clone. I like the cleaner lines over the ribbed look of the V2. I already own the sentinel so the V2 looks too similar.

Be careful with these Grand Vapor clones. I bought the Private V2 clone and it is lacking the two vent holes for the battery on the main tube. From the pictures, it appears the M16 clone does not have battery venting either.

I also have the private clone and zimbardo is right, no venting. I'm also just not a fan of it in general compared to the sentinel clone. When I find the place I will post some pictures with the pros and cons. If I had the m16 I could help more. Either one I'm sure you will like.

I plan on drilling some holes. Better to be safe. No way to be sure where to drill til i get it. Dont want to drill into threads.

What's the difference with the clone and the actual m16? I understand the difference with price and the issue with the vent holes. The reason I'm asking is because I'm about to purchase the real mod this week and want to get an opinion on whether pumping in the money is worth it.

a lot of things can vary between the real and the clone. airholes, connectivity, threading, conducting, no serial number at the bottom, etc.

in terms of performance i'm not sure im sure the saying goes, you get what you paid for.

Just got my M16. It does have vent holes, but only in the brass tube. Hence, you have proper ventilation when you're using it in 18650 mode. Using it in 18350 will block those vent holes, but the switch does allow the pressure to release when pressed (not sure how safe that; can anyone provide some input on this?).

I ended up getting both. I should have them this week. I would like to hear about the vent holes issues / resolution from anybody who has these mods.

I've been using my m16 for about 2 weeks, so far no issues. I used the V2 (brass and aluminum) for a month. @xeqs I'm glad I didn't buy the real one, I would have paid $160 out the door, I took the clone into the shop and they look EXACTLY the same, weight, color, spring, everything. On the Private and M16 there is a slight color difference in the bottom, other then that its identical.

My biggest worry for the m16 clone is the button. I don't think it's safe to have a cheap rubber o-ring to keep the battery elevated. Anyone have any suggestion? I was thinking of maybe removing the stock o-ring since it's held unevenly with glue and getting a ticker o-ring and reattaching it properly.

Also isn't one Aluminum and Brass and the other Stainless Steel and Brass?

If the head is Aluminum and then the threads are aluminum, that means it will be easier for stripping or cross threading.

For those of you that have ordered the M16 clone if you got it from vaportekusa, have any of you gotten a shipping confirmation etc? I ordered mine from there on the 12th and still no updates on it yet......
