I've been smoking E-cigs for a fairly long time (over a year and a half... I consider that long because these things weren't very common in 2011) but never bought in to RBAs or telescope mods and mostly stuck to E-Go and before that it was replaceable cartridge e-cigs that in retrospect were crap and i don't even remember the brands I tried. So anyway I recently switched from an E-Go with an iClear30 to an iTazteVV v3 and a KangerTech Protank II, which IMHO was a nice step up. I don't have the money to spend $350 on a ProVari/Triton or Helios combo and a friend of mine told me fasttech sells chinese clones which he swears are just as good and a fraction of the price. After doing some research I decided to throw down on a Triton (Clone) RBA and a M16 Sentinel Clone.

From what I can tell this would be a good combo... but I really have no idea as although I've seen RBAs built and rebuilt and used them I have never personally done it myself. Do you guys think this is a good setup?

Also, I originally ordered a charger/battery combo (some two slot 4.35V Charger that came with Protected Panasonic 3400mA 3.7V (4.35V max) batteries). This seemed like a great combo (because it was cheap) but when I took a look at the batteries, they were 69.3mm long and the max allowed on the m16 was 68mm. I was unable to find ANY batteries that would use that charger and fit the M16, so I cancelled the order (for the charger/batt combo). So I guess my question is what kind of batteries would be good for this setup? They have to be 18650 and less than 68mm.

Last question I have: Is there an appreciable difference between a Helios/Triton setup vs the clones?

thx!

Welcome , and I have both the M-16 clone , as well as the triton clone . Both work very well . Make sure you have a way to read the resistance on whatever coil/ wicks you make . And if your shooting for sub ohm coils , be sure to use the proper batteries . If you stick with a somewhat higher omn reading , you are safe using those standard batteries . But in my opinion , your still better off with some that are rated at least to 20 amps , or even better , 30 amps . And by regular type resistance (something over at least 1 ohm ) Good luck

I'm still waiting for my brass M16 clone, but all the reviews said it was a really good mech. A clone ist going to be as refined as the real model, but a clone is much less expensive and mass produced. But there's a few that are really good, the brass M16, Sentinel V3 in brass, MKB-TS (GGTS CLONE), and the EHPRO EA clone are the ones that I'm aware of that are really good clones. For a battery I would suggest the Panasonic NCR18650PD. It's starting to be recognized as a really good long lasting battery. Hope that helps.

I went with the aluminum M16, hoping that's not a big mistake from what i've read most people are happy with it. As far as ohms and coils my reading comprehension is pretty good and I used to do a lot of electrical engineering stuff when I was a kid so i'm already familiar with resistance, voltage, amperage, and wattage... I'm not too worried about it being difficult (although when I watched my friend build the coil for his Attypro it took him a good 3 hours, but I'm pretty sure he just sucked at it). What mA batteries did you all end up going with (if 18650)?
