OK - the short version... I was questioning my reo purchase... and now I love it. Love it.
BUT - I need help. This could get wordy, but please bear with me...
I had been using egos with LR cartos, and since I learned of vaping YEARNED for a fistpack. The thought of the variable voltage with a big 18650 AND usb charging was AWESOME to me. I got the parts and an electrician friend of mine started building. About the same time it was ready, I found a reo mini online... didn't think it would happen. SO here I am... from NO mods to TWO mods.
Well, I started using the mini and the fistpack, and honestly was going to sell the mini. I liked the mini ok, and did like the juice feeding to my cartos... but there was something MORE satisfying about a 5v vape on a regular 510 boge carto. Sadly, there were some electrical issues with the fistpack, and it died. I have been using the reo ever since (no going back to egos, right?) and have since begun to dig it more and more.
Still, I miss that 5v vape on a regular carto. I have ordered more LR cartos for the mini, and have used the ones I have... even some regular cartos haven't been THAT bad depending on the juice.
What I am noticing, though, is that I am switching batteries quite a bit. I only have two, but I find I like them REALLY fresh... I think it is because then they are at 4.2, right? I wish I had a more consistent vape, or at least didn't feel like I was switching so often.
I LOVE the mini's size. I LOVE the build quality and after the fp flaked out, LOVE the mechanical nature. I just don't like the thought of f-ing something up. REO seems to be so great that way.
NOW... here's where I need the help... Since I LOVE the mini's size but have never held a grand for size (or pocketed one or felt the weight)... I am weighing my options...
1-keep the mini, loving the size, get more batteries, just switch option for very fresh vape, use mostly LR cartos
2-get a GRAND, hoping the 18650 is fresher longer, explore the mythical 5v batteries for that? I don't think I would like 6v, scared to get into that, kinda... AND pray that the size is still pocketable/not too heavy
3-keep the mini and hope my fp doesn't flake after next round, kinda alternate...
4-get a cheap 5v box mod or even a 5v feeder from (gasp) someone else and test it out...
I know what you are ALL going to say: "get a grand and have both!" Well, that option is NOT on the table right now. I can afford it, but just am not going to spend spend spend on mod chasing right now. Depending on what happens now, maybe another mod for Xmas. I know my personality and I will just go nuts if I don't control myself, so I am doing just that.
Thoughts? I see pictures, but there's just no way to really tell by pics. Also, maybe the 18650, while longer than the 14500, really doesn't hit that much harder. Maybe 5v is just 5v? Also, I like the option depending on my juice... TV butter rum doesn't like 5v, but Atomic Cinnacide does, Adam's Apple does...
I know - I'm super nitpicky/neurotic, but I have a feeling someone else here is, too, and can offer an opinion.
Thanks in advance!
