rothenbj,
Sorry about the confusion. My timeline was like this:

August 2009: got my ecig, started using it. Dropped a few cigarettes.

In the winter of 2009, I got down to 4/5 a day and was ok with it but for the new year, wanted to quit. I quit buying my own packs and just bummed some from my husband. I had also gotten him a kit, which he began using to lower the # he smoked each day.

Anyway I worked at getting down to 2/3 a day by April or May 2010.

Got down to 1 or 2 by June 2010 and held steady over the summer.

Went back to work, went on a couple family vacations, noticed I was climbing back up towards 4 or 5 a day. Husband went out of town in the beginning of September 2010 and I decided that was as good a time as any to go without. I figured if I needed one badly, I could get my own pack. I didn't. I made it 4 nights and 5 days without. Had one when he came back. Started wanting one every night. Decided to just quit. September 27, 2010 was my quit day.

I have had one or two since then. But without the desire to go back to them. Now, if I try one, I put it out or pass it along to someone else, because it tastes bad and the weight of the smoke is different from the vapor.
