If you feel and believe that you are not getting enough nic with vape, and have nic cravings all the time, using nic gum as a supplement could be a solution.
But be careful what you do, and reduce the amount with a plan.

When I quit smoking, I used vape as a supplement, and spent 1/2 year before I was so close that the last cigarettes were thrown away.
A few months then passed when I got too little nic in me, but I persevered.
Now after a few years without a cigarette I still use vape, with what I wrote above, for me the most important thing is not nic but flavour.

There are other chemicals in cigarettes which have an effect on the brain, I forget what they're called. Vape only has nicotine. Some folks are fine with going to just nic, others have a bigger problem with losing those other chemicals. It can show up as the vape just not being satisfying enough. For most people that passes after a while, in the meantime the nic gets you far enough to be bearable.

At one time you could buy a form of nic extract that included the other chemicals, I heard that isn't available any more.

This can lead to some confusion. It might feel like your vape isn't satisfying your need, so you increase the % of nic. But maybe you are already getting enough nic but missing those other chemicals.

For single flavor what % did you use ? I got vampire vape, strawberry milkshake concetrate aroma the site states for single flavor use 15-20% i did it at 15% but its a bit strong still vapable but most of my juices arnt this strong maybe because i usually mix multiple flavors at like 1-2% but the site of theirs state 15-20 so ,maybe this is the right way and the others i made at 1-2% was too little?
So i wasnt used to the true flavor maybe
Not all flavors are equal when it comes to flavor intensity and some are way more concentrated than others. Take Pineapple and cinnamon for example.. They are usually some of the most intense flavors.....

As a general rule of thumb, for most types of fruit flavors then you need to add between 10% through 20% flavoring to your juice (depending upon the concentrate)..... For lots of desert type flavors then the recommendation is between 20 through 25%....... For cinnamon's, menthol's and a few other strong ones then mix below 10%..... These are only general guidelines.

The trouble with mixing juices is that like everything else in vaping, there are many variables... There is a cinnamon flavor concentrate that I get from an online vendor called "atomic fireball"..... It is loaded with cinnamon taste, slightly sweet, and also slightly hot... It is very STRONG and when I first used it I added 15% to my juice and it about blew my head off LOL.... Way too strong...... So, I reduced it down to 8% and that stuff is really yummy. Just like sucking on cinnamon candy.

There have been some fruit flavorings that I have had to use 18% just to be able to taste them....

When I am trying a new flavoring, and if it is a fruit flavor, then I start off at 10%.... I try the juice by dripping it into my RDA.....If it's not strong enough or sweet enough (I like sweet flavors) then I will add a couple more percent flavoring...... I keep doing that until I get it as good as I possibly can.... Sometimes I will add 2 - 4% of cream to a flavor in order to make it creamier and to smooth it out. I make some good caramel juice by simply adding a small amount of cream and a bit of sweetener to the caramel flavoring.....

Lots of folks here are heavy in to creating e juices and they are good at it..... I am not one of them as I just make basic juices with one or two flavor components.

    I'm one of those %100VG'ers, well almost as I generally pour 10ml H2O into a 140ml base mix bottle. (20ml into a 240ml bottle)

At first it was because I did not really care for PG but later on the other 1/2 found she was ALLERGIC to it. Sadly some of my nicotine supply is in 50/50 mix so sometimes I do have a minor amount of PG in my juice.

My day-2-day standard vape is 7mg nic, (freebase OR salts) I can chain vape that all day without getting sick or a headache. However I do keep around a few setups loaded with 18mg - just for that extra rush when I need/want it.

Most flavors (when I actually vape flavored juice) I mix at %1-3 while a handful recommend as high as %10.

The army of Squankers in my profile pic each have a different flavor in them. Sadly I get "vapors tongue" fairly quickly so when I want flavor, this makes it easy for me to switch between them. :)

The trouble with mixing juices is that like everything else in vaping, there are many variables...
I forgot to mention in my last post something so I will add it here ......

A person can create the most wonderful and intense flavored juice ever made but if used inside of an inferior atomizer, then either there will be hardly any flavor or the flavor will seem way off.... This is one of the reasons why when creating a specific juice a person should use either an RDA or an RTA that is known to produce good flavor. That way if you create a great tasting juice by using an RDA then you know your flavor profile of the juice is accurate and as good as it came become.

Another reason for using an RDA while creating a new flavor is that it is lots easier to simply drip into the RDA and then sample the flavor by taking a few hits... If it's not strong enough flavor then simply add some more flavoring inside the same batch of juice you are working on and then drip some more drops onto the coil(s) in the RDA and keep doing that until you get it right....It is far easier than putting some juice inside of a RTA tank and then having to remove the juice from the tank in order to add more flavoring to the batch you are working on.

As far as rebuildable atomizers are concerned, you will be very hard pressed to get flavor better than from a good RDA.......RTAs have came a long way since the early days as far as flavor is concerned. I love RTAs and there are some fairly good ones out there. For good flavor, there are RTAs such as the Blaze, the Arbiter 2, Valkyrie, etc.... But there are also a lot of inferior ones out there....

Anyway, a good RDA will help in mixing juices and make the process much easier....

50/50 16 strength menthol or unflavored liquid has done it for me with a 1.6 or 1.8 coil at 8 watts since when I stopped smoking around October 2015.
I accepted that since the 60s my system has run on a mixture of caffeine ( strong tea ) and nicotine and have been happy to stick with that,

Since I bought my first iStick 30w and Nautilus Mini that has worked for me and again I have happily stuck with that,

    YMMV.

I mix 60/40vg @ 6mg nic. I run two mods in daily rotation, both are setup with dual coils @0.2 ohms fired at 55 watts. I use multi core fused Vandy Vape pre-built Clapton coils and wick them with organic Japanese cotton. I re-wick and dry burn when flavor starts to drop off usually after about 80ml of juice. I replace the coils after about 400ml of juice or whenever diminished flavor dictates. I only vape hybrid NET (Naturally Extracted Tobacco) and while mine are highly refined/purified they are still harder on wicks and coils than a strictly synthetic juice. On a typical day I drain two 21700 batteries and go through more than 15ml of juice. Since I use two mods in my daily rotation I only need to re-wick them every ten days or so.

When I first started vaping I used a -much- higher nic content but was vaping MTL at significantly lower power using higher resistance coils. I think it was 24mg juice on a 1 ohm single coil set-up fired below 15 watts. Maybe used 3-4ml juice a day. Back then mech mods were the only way you could get above 15 watts.
