I'm talking to the freshman class here, those of us who have only been at this since the start of 2013. I must say, I applaud those of you who need nothing more than your starter kit and a new bottle of juice from time to time. I haven't tallied up all the bills yet, but a thousand bucks total in two weeks wouldn't surprise me, and I know I'm not alone. I can justify my spending as an investment in my health. And I admit to panic buying. My fear is the government will either tax or legislate the cost of vaping into the stratosphere. Let's face it, they've been getting probably six to eight bucks from me in taxes each and every day, and they WILL eventually find a way to get that money flowing into their coffers again. I'm really shocked I've spent so much money in such a short time, but as far as the hardware is concerned, I'm certain I've got most everything I need to last a year or more. As soon as the package arrives, I'll be making my first attempt at DIY juice mixing. If that goes well, a whole lot of nicotine juice is going into my deep freezer. Stock up, beat the taxman!

Oh, and another thought here. No way I want to go back to cigs. I really don't mind spending all this money up front, but I'm too cheap put it all in a box and give up. For me, the large investment will force me to stay with it.

It will surprise you how much extra cash you can come up with now that you are not spending 7-15 bucks/day for cigarettes.
You will also find that vaping becomes a lot cheaper over time if you buy products that last instead of PV's and accessories that you are constantly having to replace. A 50-100$ PV is not a good investment if you have to replace it every 6 months.

Everyone has their own budget, and there are ways to vape almost regardless of what a persons budget is.
When I first started vaping my budget was a little tight. This little PV cost me $2.20 to make (and it still works like new almost 2 years later)

Using it allowed me to save up the cash for a Silver Bullet, and then a Provari, and then a Reo. I tried a few of the Chinese PV along the way, all of which I found unreliable, and eventual candidates for the trash can.
The SB, Provari, and Reo will probably still be working long after I am gone.

I know what you mean!!! I've been at this for 4 months now, and every other day I am ordering something!!!!!! I am truely addicted.
The wife is OVER IT!!! I cant stop. I just want to try all the new stuff!!!!! A few new mods, batteries, tanks, cartos, juices.....will it ever end??
Im afraid not.....what to do? Get a second job? Maybe, if there were a local vape shop...i could do that!!
    I'll just keep on vaping........:vapor:

Yea, Im not new to the scene, but I can appreciate what everyone here is talking about. I have tried so so many different setups, juices etc... Way more than I spent on cigs. If you have now entered the world of e cig forums you are simply getting more or desire to get more out of e cigs vs analogs. Does the word enthusiast/hobbyist come to mind?? I think so. Have fun all!!! There is nothing better than checking the mail daily waiting for a new box of goodies!

the year is 20 days old and im already close to 250 in, with that being said im not exactly in the 3 for $25 bracket anymore either.

its only as expensive as you want it to be, if your going to keep trying clearos when you already know how the last 3 types worked for you then its just playing.

once you find what your looking for or invest in some nice stuff it slows way down unless you DONT want it to.
and at 300 a month for smokes there just isnt enough stuff that interests me to spend more then i did on cigs.

I think I've done pretty good so far at not spending too much. Just started vaping this year and so far my collection consists of an 808 kit, ego mini, ego twist (1000mAh), 2 T3's, ego mega dual coil, 2 cheap atomizers, 10 carto's, and 10 bottles of juice (half samples).

So far I have found a few couple of juices I really enjoy but I'm still sampling a little at a time. Tomorrow I plan to order some more Texas Watermelon from Vermillion River and a few more samples. Also looking for some more RY4 types if anyone has a good suggestion.

For hardware I'm happy with my 808's for work and twist for home. I do want to grab a couple more bigger manual 808's though. Also want to try out carto tanks so a tank from IBtanked and some carto's from ikenvape are next on the list. After that, an hh357 for dripping. Eventually I will most likely get a provari but that may be a month or two away.

Even if I'm spending more then I did on smokes I don't mind. It's well worth it to be able to give up smoking analogs so easily.

Wife got the mail yesterday, two packages for me- and the CC bill.
She just paid the bill- said nothing...really great gal.
The two packages...flavorings from The Flavors Apprentice and PG and nic juice, the other pack was my five nice juices from Mt Baker !
Ready to DYI, still waiting for my eVic and Vision Eterinity. Will need to buy some more nic juice, but then I should be good for a year or so.

I have been lucky...Im in almost 3 months and probably spent about 200 bucks. Finally found my routine. I keep it simple I use cartos and keep a clearomizer for the house. Also after the first month I have been able to step down to like 6 mg nic with no problem. I missed the throat hit at first but to me I think it was the motion I was going after.

Plus in my opinion the flavor seems to be so much better with lower nic, just no throat hit but I think Im used to that now.

    Hello b_1620 !
Might suggest 'Smooth Tobacco' from MVP- it's a nice light tobacco vape. I was a 40+ PAD "burro" guy, I liked it and ordered an extra one.
Mostly do Coffee in the morning and fruits latter on, but hit the Smooth every day or two. (Habit or Craving, can't tell which)

    Scotty- Vape me up !

I love VR's Texas Watermelon too. Since you are going to be ordering from them tomorrow, may I suggest you try the Malibu Pineapple. It is sooooo good.

    Happy Vaping!
