I do the same thing. It's hard to break the cycle...but in the same right, it's also nice to keep your same routines. I could never quit the usual ways because I missed my friends on smoke breaks. With the e-cigs, I can still go outside and have a smoke and without craving an analog. In fact, I can't stand the taste of them! And the smell is starting to get to me.

And I'm only on day 6!

This is so funny! I'm a 'garage smoker' too! I'm on day six and finally realized I can vape in the house. Yesterday when I went in the garage the analog smell really hit me hard! Threw away two nasty cig snuff cups, and washed the one ashtray i want to keep [50's vintage] and put it away. Now I gotta get rid of the small in my car!

Yes indeed! No reason to switch your routine! The nice thing about e-cigs is you can take a few drags with out wasting a whole analog! Welcome to vaping! 01gixer, I have a ton of little triggers that make me reach for my pack of analogs...for me its really just a knee jerk reaction and I take a drag on my e-cig and the knee jerk is gone!

plantlvr, in addition to all that you do to get rid of smell in your car - don't forget to get the cabin filter replaced - it'll make a big difference.

Thanks for the tip! I had that replaced about a year ago but will definitly do it again once i start the cleaning process.

i'm a truck driver and i goto NYC alot.the test for me wil be how well i do when u see tha sign welcom to the bronx.that gets me all the time.the old cigs i would burn throu them like they were going out of style when i got down there lol......

My husband and i are wanting to get started vaping, havent decided what to purchase yet, alot of research here! He is a trucker and i was wondering how you manage it with what looks like a whole lot of filling carts, charging batts, cleaning & maintenance, etc.,with your occupation? Im afraid if its too inconvenient, he will go back to analogs. Thanks for sharing.

Well, he can get a cig-lighter adapter for a passthrough. No issues with batteries then. The cart thing is a bit trickier, but he could make some up in advance then just change them while driving...about as complicated as lighting up an analog.

Also, a 2-piece system with cartimizers could give him the convenience he needs, then he could add liquid to them when he stops. I'm sure others here could come up with other suggestions. The passthrough is a given however, IMHO.

I would also like to hear from others on this point...what's a good road trip system?

I have been known to eat a hamburger, smoke a cigarette, and read a newspaper while driving.
All at the same time.

So yeah, topping off, or dripping, or dipping is pretty easy in comparison.

Hmmmm, I guess that didn't help much, did it.
Nevermind then.

When I drove an automatic, I would steer with my knees while smoking, putting on mascara, and drinking coffee.

However, now that I drive a stick-shift, I have a strict no multitasking agreement with myself. I will drive and limit any extra activities to smoking or drinking coffee. Beyond that, it can wait. I keep a back up cartridge in my clutch, but for the most part, I prepare everything before I leave so I can have an uneventful and boring commute.

I like boring. Boring dies a lot less.
